So this is where the real seal is Bai Ling murmured.

She looked around at the nine pillars arranged around the dome. On the ceiling a replica of the formation they were standing in was carved.

Beside each pillar a hulking statue is chained except for one pillar that is empty. In the center of the dome was a platform where a gigantic statue that dwarfed everything else sat cross legged.

It was the gigantic demonic being the sectmaster of the spirit valley sect was fighting. There were cracks on the giant statue where the black fog was coming from.

After being stunned by the scene the three were brought back to reality when they heard the wyrms roar and the barrier above them cracking.

We need to go fast. Little Xi said seriously before running in between the statues towards the giant statue. Although the three are already exhausted they mustered their remaining energy.

When they reached halfway to the giant statue a loud boom was heard behind them. The wyrm was actually able to destroy the barrier and had followed them in. It disregarded the statues as it rushed towards them crushing the demonic figures in its way.

The three had pale faces as they gritted their teeth and ran faster. We need to split up little Xi suggested.

As the big statue is still quite a distance a way they wouldn't be able to outrun the wyrm. Thus they need to outsmart it. To little Xi's surprise after they ran different directions the wyrm actually followed him.

He ran around in circles barely avoiding the wyrm, he would also fling spells that only bounced off the wyrms scales. Although it was not a real dragon, it's scales are still comparable to a top grade armor that can reflect spells. Even entangling chains that he cast would only make the wyrm pause a second.

Finally he realized why it was following him. He brought out the soul stone and noticed the wyrm suddenly become more aggressive.

The two girls also noticed this. Fengyue suddenly shouted, brother Xi throw it to me!

Needing time to cast a stronger spell he looked at Fengyue and threw the soul stone.

Seeing the soul stone in the air, the wyrm suddenly stopped mid charge and changed direction.

Fengyue caught the stone and ran.

Little Xi stood unmoving and began chanting. When the wyrm was about to reach Fengyue, he released the spell causing a cold wind blast towards the wyrm encasing it in ice.

However, he knew that it would take only five seconds at most for the wyrm to free itself.

Give me the stone Bai Ling shouted and Fengyue passed it to her as Fengyue was already ready to collapse. Bai Ling ran towards the giant statue with little Xi behind her.

Suddenly the ice covering the wyrm cracked and it roared causing the remaining ice to shatter.

Bai Ling bring out your hammer little Xi shouted.

Bai Ling by now automatically did as she was told and released her hairpins true form. She then felt a spell hit her and her strength suddenly spiking up. She passed the stone to little Xi before she looked back to the charging wyrm.

She then charged towards the wyrm, jumped and hit its head as hard as she could. The force bounced her back and she was thrown a few meters to the side.

The impact caused the wyrm to be disoriented for a few seconds but it was enough for little Xi to arrive at the center in front of the giant statue.
