What are you.... Before he could utter anything else he saw the old man's figure with hollow eyes behind Bai Ling.

He was about to warn her when he saw she suddenly had a look of fear looking behind him.

He felt a cold breath on his nape making him turn around to find the old man's face directly in front of him with his eye sockets a few inches from his own.

The old man then smiled and Little Xi felt a suction force pull at him sending his body towards the cliff. He passed through the old mans body which dissipated like smoke and then he was airborne.

The scream of Bai Ling and one other voice sounded after him as they fell down the ravine.

When he was about to hit the ground he muttered a spell making him slowly descend. He then saw two bodies falling after him so he pointed his wand at them and uttered an incantation. The two bodies slowly descended to reveal Bai Ling and Fengyue.

Why did you follow me? He asked sternly.

This was totally out of his calculations. Although there was no danger inside, he didn't have time to baby sit these two.

Bai Ling looked down and seemed to be struggling to answer. It was Fengyue who was the other voice he heard while falling that answered first.

I saw sister Bai Ling leave the camp and remembered we shouldn't venture alone. I didn't know she was following you, and then I suddenly saw you two disappear so I came closer only to feel my body getting sucked into the ravine. She said feeling embarrassed.

I didn't know these two knew each other THAT well. She thought blushing.

Seeing her reaction little Xi suddenly felt a headache. Did she just assume Bai Ling and I came out for some alone time? Little Xi thought this was hilarious. But he could only sigh.

I didn't follow him on purpose! Bai Ling said indignantly when she saw Fengyue blushing. I was just curious, she then whispered and looked away as her face was even redder than Fengyue's. She only hoped that it was dark enough so that no one would notice.

She really didn't know what she was thinking. She always had a suspicion that little Xi was hiding something.

So when she saw he left the camp she followed him silently. She didn't even realize they passed by the hundred meter mark. Then she suddenly saw the figure of an old man standing behind little Xi and she gasped.

This caught little Xi's attention which made him look back. She then felt a suction force pulling her body and by the time she could do anything else, she was already falling.

Seeing Bai Ling like this, Fengyue giggled. You don't have to be embarrassed sister bai, little Xi is my junior brother after all. If he ever cheats on you I'd be very mad. She declared glaring at little Xi.

Eeeh, wha? Little Xi became speechless. How did this situation become like this he thought.

Bai Ling's face has now became so red it was purple. This is your fault, what were you doing, going out of the camp at this time anyway? She glared at little Xi.

That doesn't matter now, he said. Since the seniors are able to come and go to this place then there is probably an exit.

If someone else saw us fall then that advanced senior disciple would be able to rescue us within the hour. But if no one saw us we can only look for the exit because even if he enters, after an hour he would only be transported to a different place than where we are now, Little Xi patiently explained their options.
