M.I. Ch15
Little Xi had been listening diligently and hadn't opened his mouth once. He noticed how Long Qi loved to talk hence he allowed him to, as he needed to know as much information as possible. Now that he finished talking before little Xi can ask a single question Long Qi immediately escaped.
Little Xi can only sigh before going inside the hall and look for an empty room. He went farther as he wanted a more private area. However, midway through a door suddenly opened revealing a young girl that is around the same age as him. She looked at him suspiciously before saying why are you here?
Little Xi can already see what this girl was thinking and couldn't be bothered so he just answered looking for a room before passing by her and continuing thru the hall.
Hey I'm still talking to you! She shouted. Little Xi sighed, stopped and looked at her waiting if she wanted to say anything else. She only glared at him for a few minutes. When she didn't talk he turned around and left.
What a weird girl he thought. When he found a suitable room he opened it and locked the door. The room was spacious with a table, chairs, a bed and a cabinet. It was full of dust and there was no mattress on the bed. I guess I should've brought one he thought. No matter. He said before bringingg out his wand. He waved it and muttered a simple cleaning chant which caused all the dust to fly out the window.
Satisfied, he put down the bag Long Qi gave him and inspected the contents. He brought out the uniform and tried it out. It fitted a bit loosely. Aside from that it was comfortable. There was a symbol of a lotus inside a pentagram which he assumed to be the symbol of the formation peak outercourt. He also brought out the rule book and scanned it. Most of which are standard rules to maintain order within the sect, including the merit system where the disicples can earn points to exchange for items.
What piqued his interest was that dueling was allowed as long as a senior or an elder is present.
Last is the book marked Lotus Heart sutra first to third level. He put it away as he wanted to study it later. right now he felt his stomach gurgling as he hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. He proceeded to the kitchens and realized it was already afternoon.
He didn't run into the angry girl again. But he did run into two boys who were also going to the kitchens. When they saw him walking out of the hall they were a bit surprised.
Hey you're on the beginners class? One of them asked. They both looked like they were eleven years old but the one who asked had a bald head and a bit fat. The other one had spiky hair that looked like a nest and was considerably thin.
Little Xi nodded.
You're from the outside, the boy with nest hair blurted.
Little Xi nodded again.
Cool! The bald boy said before they both stood on little Xi's side. Since you're new you can eat with us!
The nest hair boy nodded before saying, then tell us what it's like out there!
Little Xi realized these two were probably born in the sect and have never been outside. He answered no problem! as the three of them went for the kitchens.
Reaching the kitchens there are only a few who have come to eat as it's probably still early for dinner. Baldhead whose name was Wang Yifan explained that the food from the kitchens are only for outercourt disciples. When little Xi asked why, he said that innercourt disciples who have reached a high level of cultivation usually don't require food, and get their energy from absorbing it directly.
In theory that is feasible. Little Xi thought. There are spells in his memory that would allow one to absorb essence from other beings however they can be considered as heinous and monstrous. What Yifan is talking about should be a bit different
