After running a few minutes the same half a building that is partially standing appeared before them.

A diagram glowed in the middle continously releasing fog. However the formation seemed to be damaged with small cracks.

It was the same diagram they saw in the vision where the fog originated.

Aside from all these, the diagram seemed to be pulsating like a heart. This made the three suddenly feel apprehension. With every beat more cracks appeared on the diagram.

When a new crack appears a black fog diffrent from the surrounding white fog seeps out and would devour the surrounding white fog from before. The two types of fog would struggle to overpower each other. But one is not able to suppress the other.

It is only because there is more white fog that is why in the end the black fog would disperse, but with it a few portion of the white fog also disappears.

This is a sealing formation. Little Xi finally concluded. And whatever is sealed inside is trying to get out.

Hearing this, Bai Ling and Fengyue remembered the vision they saw. Do you think it's those demon like creatures? Bai Ling asked ashen faced.

Most probably, Little Xi answered.

Is this why we were brought here? Fengyue asked.

But what could we possibly do to stop those demons from escaping? Bai Ling murmured.

Little Xi was also thinking furiously.

It was probably fate that he acquired the memory soul stone. And when he reached here the old man who appeared to be the former sect master of a former sect pulled him in. He could've pulled anyone else in as hundreds of disciples have come here before. But they didn't have the soul stone.

That's it! He realized.

The key is the memory soul stone. If he can unlock the remaining memory inside then maybe he can figure out what to do.

We need to find more clues he instructed the two. He then proceeded to look around the half building.

They needed to find an elder. But they are trapped. All these things ran through Bai Ling's mind making it ache. She let out a frustrated sigh before looking around for anything suspicious.

On the half building the only thing that is whole is a floor of one of the previous rooms. It is where the base of the formation is engraved. The formation extends to the half walls and broken pillars. There are a few wailing flowers growing around the building. The three looked around but couldn't find anything aside from rubble.

While looking around, the formation gave a loud bump sound a long crack appeared across the diagram. Massive amounts of black fog appeared and immediately rushed out. The white fog was too slow to stop the black fog as it scattered.

After that an imminent feeling of danger was suddenly felt by the three.

This feeling was followed by low growls that can be heard from the distance. Then figures of spirit beasts appeared.

More accurately spirit beast corpses that were reanimated. The fog doesn't seem to affect them as their rotting bodies advanced forward.

In the camp outside the valley, the disciples woke up from meditation that morning to prepare for the day.
