Reaching his room little Xi cast his incantations and proceeded to meditate. After he was in his top condition he brought out all the item he got today.

He then prepared to combine the wujiao tiger core and his wand.

First he mixed the essence powder and Ling liquid creating a thick black ink. At first he thought about using the chalk elder Qian gave them.

However after studying it he concluded that its magical properties are not enough to perform the fusion, hence he looked for an alternative and decided on making an ink from ling liquid and essence powder.

He proceeded to create an array on the ground using the ink. After completing it, the array glowed and the elemental energies began to gather. He then placed the wand, the blood crystal, and the wujiao tiger core on specific points of the array.

He chanted a few words making the array grow brighter.

If it wasn't for his protective spells he would have been easily discovered. Uttering the final syllable the array created a globe of light enveloping the three items within it.

It then began to shrink and as it shrank the array seemed to shrink with it.

When the light finally faded the array was also gone leaving only the wand floating above the ground. It emanated a powerful aura that seemed like a predator calmly stalking its prey.

Little Xi Reached out to the wand and it rested on his hands perfectly. It's previous black color slightly changed with a white color mixed in creating a pattern similar to the wujiao tiger's pattern.

On the handle a red crystal can be seen embedded on the wand. When he sent his qi within the crystal the previous aura of the wand disappeared making it look like an ordinary fancy stick with carvings and a red crystal.

It's complete! he said admiring his work. He knew that it had become more formidable and is now able withstand powerful spells.

He then brought out the five luminous pearls he bought.

When he first heard about the discount he already guessed that it had to do with the beast horde, then he heard the whole medicine mountain is busy making pills his guess became more and more plausible.

He wanted to create protective charms for his friends just in case and these pearls are perfect for him to use. He then pointed his wand at one while he chanted a long spell, weaving a complicated spell diagram engraving it on the luminous pearl.

He repeated this five times to all the pearls and when he finished he felt like he was all drained. This spell is a protective charm which will automatically activate when the user is in danger.

A protective shield will spring up around the user and they will then be teleported to a safer area. The downside is that it can only be used once and after that the pearl will shatter.

It's a very common magical item in his memory usually used by magi to travel. The item acts like a key that opens a portal to another place. Usually Magi use daily objects to make these keys like shoes or a cup to make them inconspicuous.

He placed the protective shield charm as an additional security.

He then meditated and restored himself to top condition before casting an invisibility spell on himself.

He then went to Yifan's room easily passing by the walls with a simple incantation. He found Yifan meditating with eyes closed and the yin yang chain in front of him. He is probably figuring out the accompanying technique of his artifact. Little Xi then threw one of the pearls which embedded itself on Yifan's forehead before disappearing without him noticing.
