Maki pov

My eyes opened wide and I looked at the clock, 4:15am in the morning 'fifteen minutes late, dammit'. I scolded myself for oversleeping. I don't turn on an alarm, cause...my girlfriend Kirumi will wake up and force me to sleep. And I don't need that at the moment.
I rubbed my eyes, they are starting to sting why? I rubbed them again and only made it worse somehow. 'no time for that. I need to stand up' quietly I removed the covers and sat on the bed. Thank lord atua that our bed doesn't creek.

I tiptoed to the door and opened it slowly. I stepped on the hallway and closed the door, slowly. It made a soft click and I was just HOPING that Ruru wouldn't wake up, so I stood there for a minute or two. She didn't come out *sigh* I sighed in relief and made my way downstairs.

I always wake up early to try and make something for Ruru since she always does everything for us. I couldn't wake up before her. So as the time passed I kinda made myself wake up at 4am in the morning, cause I know Kirumi will not wake up at that ungodly hour.
I came down and tried to flick the light switch of the kitchen as quite as I can, I did it slowly and in the end it made one very soft click and the lights were on.

I rubbed my eyes again and they sting even more. I wake up that early so Kirumi can sleep and has bo worry over me or herself.
I sat at the table and tried to collect my thoughts, so my brain can function in the early morning hour. I put my head into my hands and sighed again, deciding that maybe a glass of water will do a trick. I stood up felling dizzy but quickly collected myself back up.
I made it to the sink and got a glass from one of the cabinets filling it with cold water and drinking it. The cold substance made me a little bit more awake. I placed my glass down and leaned on the sink with my back.
The clock on the microwave said 4:43am 'its been only half hour. I thought it was at least an hour' I sat back down, now knowing that sitting kinda makes me more awake for some reason. I laid on my hands but still keeping myself awake...

Kirumi pov

I woke up with a stretch 'Sunday. what a nice morning...maybe today I will take it easy' I decided. I sat up and found out that in fact my girlfriend Maki wasn't in bed.
My eyes were full of confusion, so I looked at the clock on the nightstand and it said 5:47am 'almost six in the morning. What in the world is she doing awake' today we are both free from our jobs, so I don't understand?

I made my new goal to find Kiki and bring her back to bed. So she can have more rest and I will be there with her. I will never turn down cuddles with the one I love the most.
I slipped my slippers on and made my way downstairs. As soon as I came I saw the kitchen light on. I stepped in and saw Kiki sitting there at the table.
I stepped to here putting my hand on her shoulder kneeling down "Kiki its early. Its Sunday. What are you doing up?" She lifted her head and I can see that her eyes are red from exhaustion "hmm Ruru? Its-I wanted to surprise you" she murmured and I picked her up 'thats so sweet' "that is very sweet of you Kiki but We both need some sleep today. What do you say that we cuddle and get some more rest, hm?" I felt her nod sleepy in approval.

A smile made it on my lips and I kissed Maki on the forehead. As soon as I started to move I could feel Maki go limp. I made it upstairs and entered our bedroom, placing Maki gently on the bed and not to wake her up. I closed the bedroom door and sat on the bed, turning on the bedside lamp so I can see better. I then just watched her for some time running my hand trough Maki's long soft brown hair.
Soon enough I yawned and slipped my slippers off, lifted the covers and made myself comfortable in bed. I pulled Maki closer to me wrapping my arms around her and she cuddled up to my side holding me close.
My fingers made their way back to Maki's hair caressing it slowly and lovingly. She relaxed even more under my touch and that made me smile yet again. One of my hands left Maki's hair, so I can turn off the lamp. I made myself lay on my pillow, pulling the covers over me and Maki. I tucked us in and soon enough the sleep that we both needed was there soon enough to take us to the dreamland...

3rd pov

The lamp was turned off and the room was almost completely dark except the one beam of light peeking trough the gap of the curtains. But neither of the girls cared for it at the moment.
Both of them very comfy and relaxed, knowing that each one is safe in others arms. The bond they made is unbreakable.

They are sound asleep dreaming of the nice memories that they made together trough the years that they were together.
One of these days will be the happiest day for both of them.

You see in the nightstand drawer there is a black small box that can bring joy to every person that opens it and to the person that receives the joy filled inside it.
