Shuichi pov

"Shumai! It's movie time today come on!" Kokichi called from the living room. I chuckled and joined him on the couch. We snuggled up to each other and started the movie.
Halfway trough the movie I heard faint sound of the gunshots soon getting louder "Stop the movie Koki" I said in a alarming tone "What is it Shumai?" He asked worried "I heard-"

'BANG'
'BANG'

Bullets started to fly trough the window "duck down!" I shouted and went on the floor. Soon I heard a thud "S-shumai h-help" I looked towards Kokichi. He was holding himself around his stomach. I quickly picked him up and ran upstairs. Kokichi was crying "Shhh It's okay Koki. Shhhh" I went to our secret room behind the picture. I placed him on the ground and called an ambulance.

Kokichi was breathing quickly "S-shumai" He said weakly. I put his head in my lap "Shhh calm down. Try to slow your breathing Koki please" I put my hand on his stomach pressing on the wound to stop the bleeding too.
Kokichi started to close his eyes "Not now Koki stay awake come on. Ambulance is on the way. Focus on my voice...only my voice. Shhhhh calm down you're gonna be fine". He grabbed me by my shirt, slowly following my breathing.
I pressed on the wound harder to stop from more bleeding. He screamed in pain "I know. I know Koki it hurts, but I need to. Shhhh I know" soon I heard the sirens from an ambulance "They are here now. You're gonna be okay." I picked him up Kokichi hissing in pain "Shhhhh it's okay. It's okay " and went out. We soon found them and they placed Kokichi on a stretcher and put him in the car. I went with them.

We were riding in a car towards the hospital. They put the IV in Kokichi and a breathing mask. I was holding his hand giving him the light squeeze time to time for him to know that I'm here. When we came they took Kokichi to an emergency and make me wait in a waiting room.
I sat down on a chair devastated "Hes gonna be okay. Hes gonna be okay. Hes gonna be okay. Hes-" I was interrupted by "Shuichi?" I know that voice "Rantaro. W-what are you doing here?" I was so confused "My sister had a medical assignment. What wrong with you?" He asked concerned. "Kokichi...he was shot by a gun." I said in a whisper.
He made a confused face "Are...you two dating?" He asked 'oh no' "I-I ummmm..." I tried to "Just why?" He started "Hes a criminal Shuichi...you know that better than anyone. He was in Jail for stealing." My blood started to boil "So...hes still a human being! Just because he WAS bad doesn't mean that he needs to be treated differently! He was made to do all of that! He didn't want that! He was threatened to be killed! Hes trying to become a better person Rantaro! I LOVE HIM!!! You don't understand!" At this point I was standing and crying "Listen Shu-" he wanted to "No. please don't start. If you don't except him then don't but into my life Amami." He just turned away and went out of the hospital.

It was very dark. Thats when a doctor came to me "Hello, you are Shuichi Saihara I presume" He said "Yes thats me"the doctor sighed "He's awake and wants to see you." My eyes filled with tears but I quickly wiped them away and followed him.
Soon we came to the door and he opened it for me. I stepped in and saw my Kichi sitting on a bed with and IV in his hand. He looked at me and smiled. I ran and put him in a hug. He immediately hugged back "I'm so glad that you are okay Koki. I love you." I said smiling after "I love you too Shumai" and detaching from me. Later the doctor stepped into the room "When will Kokichi be discharged?" I asked holding Kokichi's hand "Tomorrow morning. Does he have any parents?" I looked at him "No he doesn't. Can I discharge him?" I asked hopefully "Sure thing just fill up the papers and he will be able to get out of the hospital" He said "Can he stay?" Kokichi said to the doctor "usually I would say no, but cause its only for the night yes. He can stay" smiled and went out.
"Get some more rest Koki you need it. I'll be here okay?" I said slowly running my hand trough his hair. He sighed and laid down closing his eyes. And we both soon fell asleep.

The morning soon came and I woke up. I looked at Kokichi to find him still sleeping soft snores coming from him. I stood up and woke him up "Hey Koki its morning. Wake up." He woke up slowly opening his eyes "I'm up. I'm up." He said trying to sit but ending with whining in pain "Slowly the wound is not healed yet." I then helped him sit up and called a doctor, the doctor came and took the IV out of his hand and later put a bandage on it "Ouma will not be able to walk for a while...I can give you a wheel chair-" he was cut of by Kokichi "you dont have to worry doctor, Shuichi here can carry me" My face went red but quickly shook my head "well if thats the case then you can go."
So I picked up Kokichi amd went out. I said goodbye to the doctors and went on. I went to my car (that Shuichi's uncle....George drove here) opened the front seat and put Kokichi in and buckle his sea pelt and closed the door. Then I went to driver seat and started the car.

Traffic was terrible so it took longer to get home. We were standing in traffic I looked at Kokichi to find him asleep leaning on the window. I lowered the music down and drove on.
After an hour we finally came home. I parked the car and went to wake up Kokichi "wake up. Were home" I lightly shook him and soon he woke up. He rubbed his eyed and yawned tiredly 'hes probably exhausted' I went out of the car to pick up Kichi from his seat.
I picked him up and went inside of our house. Tomorrow they will be replacing our windows and whats been broken. I went upstairs in the bedroom "Shumai 'm tired" Kokichi said rubbing his eyes "I know you are. You can go to bed but first I need to change your bandages okay?" I said back " 'm kay" I took him to our bathroom and placed him on the sink counter. I took the medical kit and took out some non-alcohol disinfect and bandages.
I took down Kokichi's shirt and unwrapped the bandages around his stomach. I put the disinfect on some cotton and rubbed the stitches "Shumai it hurts." Koki said and hissed in pain "Sorry. Please try to endure it...for me" he just nodded his head yes. After I was done I wrapped new bandages around his stomach and picked him up.
I carried him back to the bedroom and placed him on the bed I picked up one of my shirts and put it on Kokichi he smiled and slowly laid back down. I tucked him in and captured his lips quickly "nighty *YAWN* Shumai" he said "good night Koki. Get some rest now." He just snuggled into the covers and soon fell asleep with soft snores coming from him "I love you" I said and went to make something to eat.
