Okay first I have my own head-cannons about every Danganronpa character and I will do a oneshot about them so I can write some stuff...please respect them thank you.

Shuichi pov

I was walking from school to Kaito's apartment. Yes we do have dorm rooms but they are being repaired cause some upperclassman blew them up(Nagito).
My uncle didn't want be with me anymore when he figured out that I'm gay, then Kaito saved my day saying that I can go to him.
Witch I'm really glad cause I maybe have a really big crush on Kaito.

'Hes sweet, optimistic, he aways tries and helps others when they need it (yes he helped even Kokichi get to confess his love to Kiibo). Not to mention hes even good looking'

I blushed at my thoughts and shook my head, but its true I really do love him. I was walking town the road when the sky became dark 'its only gonna rain...right?'.
You see I'm terrified of the storm well not storm but thunder. As a kid my parents would place me out when the thunder was clashing and I got astraphobia (fear of thunder) from it.

As quick as I could I walked to his apartment. After good ten minutes of speed walking I found his apartment complex. I went to the door and ringed a bell with a name tag 'Momota'. I waited a few seconds and the door buzzed signaling that the door is now open. I went to the third floor and found a number of Kaito's apartment.
I ringed and Kaito opened the door "hello sidekick come in" he flashed me a big smile and I blushed at it.

I stepped in and stretched my limbs "so what do you wanna do?" We both sat on the couch "we c-can maybe watch a movie. A-and order some pizza or s-something?" I said in a questioning tone "thats an awesome idea Shuichi!" He said and clashed his fists together "so pizza okay with ya?" I nodded and smiled at him.
He picked up his phone and called the 'hopey pizza' best pizza in town "Shuichi what kind of pizza?" He asked still on the phone "margarita will be f-fine" he nodded and ordered a pizza for me as well. "Pizza will be here in a hour or so" he said sitting on a couch back with me.

-time skip by Kaito's jacket-

Shuichi pov

The pizza arrived and the film we choose was a Harry Potter and we will marathon it. We were both on the couch when I hear a faint sound of the thunder. I flinched but shrugged it off, but thats when...

Kaito pov

The thunder was heard and Shuichi flinched 'probably didn't expect it or something' that when a big lightning flash could be seen "AHHHHHHHH!" I looked at my side and Shuichi screamed then another thunder boomed and he fell of the couch...

3rd pov

Shuichi fell of the couch quickly picking himself up stumbling to the door "let me out! Let me out!" He was screaming and crying every time thunder was heard or the flash was seen he screamed.
Kaito rushed and held shuichi by his torso so he wouldn't escape from the apartment "Shuichi shhh calm down."

Kaito tried to pull Shuichi to his bedroom only Shuichi to scream "NO NO! LET ME GO! LET ME OUT NO NO!" Shuichi was struggling against Kaito but luckily Kaito was stronger.
Kaito managed to get Shuichi in his bedroom and on his bed. He held Shuichi close, Shuichi was crying and screaming every time thunder was heard.

Kaito pov

I held Shuichi close while he screamed and trashed around trying to leave 'he's really afraid of thunder'. I started to run my fingers trough his hair "Shhhhh calm down. Its okay." I pulled him closer and laid his head in my neck "shhhhh its okay" I kept repeating those words hoping that Shuichi will calm down.

An hour or so passed and soon no screams were heard from Shuichi, from him came only cries and sniffles "shhhh Shuichi your safe". He was holding my shirt so his knuckles were white.
His body was shaking, slowly I grabbed his hand on my shirt trying to al least held it in my own hand. When I tried his grip only tightened on it "shhhhh I'm not gonna let go okay" he hiccuped into my neck and I removed his hand holding it in my own "shhh there we go" the thunder was still booming outside and Shuichi still flinched every time at it.

"Shhhhh its okay it will go away soon. I love you its okay" then I realized what I said. I looked at him "y-y-you *hic* l-love me-me *hic*?" I nodded saying "yes. I aways have. I love you Shuichi" his hand squeezed mine and I squeezed back "I-I l-love *sniffle* y-you t-to-to" I smiled brightly at this and hugged him closer.
Thats when a loud thunder boomed "AHH! NO!" Shuichi screamed and pressed himself against me, trying to hide in my neck.
"shhhh calm down. I'm here" I started to draw circles on his back, he was stiff and I tried to relax him "you can relax. I'm here thunder wont hurt you shhhh" He started to take deep breath relaxing slowly. I pulled us on the bed covering us with the covers.
Shuichi was laying on my chest and breathing trying to calm himself down "got to sleep. When you wake up the thunder will be gone" his eyes then closed and he fell limp in my arms.
I kissed his forehead and held him close 'I promise Shuichi I will protect you'. I sweared to myself before falling asleep myself.
