Shuichi pov

'HORRIBLE'

My life hasn't been this horrible since...forever. No wrong...it has never been this horrible to begin with!!
For the past 10 days here is a literal hell.

Oh! Greetings my name is Shuichi Saihara. I am an only son from king and queen Saihara. We are a royal family from a kingdom of carnation. We are spending 14 days at our-I mean at mine future wife that I don't approve, so we are spending at the Kingdom of somber ruled by Saionji family.
It was a quick assigned mirage for me and princess Hiyoko, and it was made as soon as my dad saw how much money they posses.

I am forced to spend time with her and do stuff I really don't wanna do. I do not curse much but she is an actual bi*c. She does whatever she likes, eats like a total pig if I may, she leaves her clothes everywhere she likes and The list goes go on and on...but there is one thing or someone that brightens my day every time I see them.

The court jester Ouma.

I don't know his name, but he is the only normal person around here. But as I watched him, every time he exits the room his face goes blank.

I was walking around the castle looking for the mentioned jester while hiding from Hiyoko and her childish gross acts. Soon enough I heard jingles of the bells, I smiled and followed the sound and in the next hallway I saw the jester sitting on the window while playing with his hat.
I made it out of the corner and went closer towards him "u-um hello" I tried to get his attention only to...

Kokichi pov

"U-m hello" I got startled and looked towards the sound and found the prince standing there "WAAAH!!" I fell of the window landing on my back, I winced in pain from all of the whip marks on it.
I saw the prince panic "I-I am very sorry" he knelled down by my side helping me sit up. He put his hand on my back and I flinched away "A-are you o-okay?" He asked "yeah no biggie princey" his face flushed "p-pricey" he looked away embarrassed "Nishishi~" I giggled at his action.

Once he calmed down he turned back to me "are you okay?" I nodded and tried to stand only to pain go trough my back and fell back down. Before I could hit the ground Shuichi caught me and I winced again...

Shuichi pov

I saw Ouma flinch when I held him by his back. I leaned him against me "can you walk?" He hesitantly nodded yes and I tried to lead him on only for him to almost fall. I caught him again and saw on his face that tears gathered in his eyes "I'm going to carry you okay. We are going into my room to check your...injury" Ouma nodded and I picked him up like a toddler.
I carried him to my assigned room and placed him on the bed and closed the door "take of your uniform please" he tried to lift his hands to open the uniform only to flinch and wince.

I made my way on the bed beside him "here let me help". I took off his uniform and gasped his whole body was full of scars and whip marks "who did this?" Ouma teared up and looked at me "K-king" my eyes widen 'why would he do that?' "Dont worry. I'm going to fix you up okay. It think I have a first aid kit here with me" he nodded and I went to find the kit.

I found it and joined Ouma back on the bed. He shivered "hold on a little longer...I'm going to give you my clothes later okay." I started clean up his wounds and patch him up "can I ask your full name?" I asked while cleaning "Kokichi. Kokichi Ouma" I smiled and nodded "how did all this happen?" I asked

"Well even I was some peasant one day. I hand a completely normal life...until that one day. I was walking from a bakery after buying bread cause I was low on it. As I said I walked out of it and then I was pushed into the King himself. The fist thing he did was screamed at me and then his guards beat me up. As a punishment I didn't get death but a job here to work as a court jester. I was...forced to do all of it and he...abuses me every time I came into the room...well more like after I perform for them" Thats just awful.

After cleaning and patching him up he visibly felt more relaxed. I picked up one of my shirts "can you lift your hands?" He looked at me and lifted up his hands as much as he could, I put the shirt on him "you can sleep here okay" he nodded and yawned "you can relax now" he shifted closer and leaned on my shoulder "thank you" I rubbed his arm and pulled him closer "no problem...this shouldn't happened to no one, its horrible. I'm sorry" he only leaned closer into my touch.

"Wanna get some rest" he nodded and I laid us down carefully not to hurt him. I pulled the covers over us and he cuddled closer to me "thank you for helping me" he mumbled into my side "your welcome and don't worry I will get everything settled. You do not deserve to be treated that way" I caressed his hair to make him sleepy "close your eyes. Everything will be over soon" he hummed and fell asleep "I promise you" were my last words before my eyes closed and sleep caught up to me too.
