Rantaro pov

I was sitting on the couch reading a book about sea animals it was pretty interesting considering I just got it from Kiyo.
Speaking about him where is he? I miss him, shouldn't he be home by now?

I looked at the clock and it said 7pm. Thats pretty late even for him usually if he's late he is home at least by 6:15pm. I looked around nervously and held the book to my chest suddenly the book wasn't interesting anymore.

I heard the door bang all of a sudden that scared me. My eyes went wide and fear struck me. Where is Kiyo? I want Kiyo. Fear started to form in my eyes when I heard the door brake down. I heard talking and shouting. Footsteps were coming closer and I despite the rules unchained my leg and before I could escape and man came in.
He looked at me and I was scared "hey there"...

Armando pov (look at the headcannon part. If ya don't know who that is)

I came into the living room an saw a boy with avocado green hair. I slowly approached him and he flinched when I came closer. His skin was as pale as a ghost 'just how long was he here'. His eyes were the same color as his hair.
I knelled down at the sofa "hey there" he curled into a ball with a scared expression on his face. I heard him mumble something "can you repeat that? Please?" I asked trying to get closer only for the boy to flinch and scoot back a little "its okay I wont come closer" I backed away a little 'what happened to him'. I looked at the ground and found a very long chain "K-Kiyo" I heard him whisper "I-I want Kiyo".

Soon enough tears started to fall down from his eyes, mumbling 'I want Kiyo' over and over. As I'm getting Kiyo is the serial killer Korekiyo Shinguji that we arrested today. Why dose he want him? I pulled out my walkie talkie "I found someone bring the doctors" I tried getting closer "n-no please" he curled into a ball even more and started to shake.
The doctors came "whats wrong?" The doctor asked "he doesn't want to talk or respond to any of my questions, he scared of getting to close to him and is muttering 'I want Kiyo' over and over" the doctor nodded and tried to get closer but the boy just scooted even further away.

I sighed knowing there is no other option. I quickly stood up and picked up the boy before he could escape and holding him in my chest. He started to trash around and shouting at me to let go "shhh its okay your safe. I got you now calm down". He wouldn't even listen "doctor is there anything you can do?" I asked while holding the boy. Doctor disappeared and returned with a needle "hold him still mr. Armando. This will put him to sleep" I sat down and held him as still as I could.
The boy started crying "quick he's unstable" I said and the doctor nodded. He injected the needle in his arm and the boy went limp in my arms 'poor kid'.

I took him out and put him in my car in the backseat. The police officer came "so...what do we do now?" I sighed and looked at the boy "find information on him. Inform me of anything that you find. If we can find his family we can return him...until then he is staying with me" officer nodded and went to tell the others.
I closed the backdoor and went to start a car to went home. While driving I constantly looked at the mirror at the boy, then I got a phone call. "Officer Armando speaking" the other line cleared his throat "we found information on the boy..." I sighed mentally "tell me about it".

"The boys name is Rantaro Amami. He is 19 years old and was born on the October 3th and went missing a year ago. He has avocado green hair with matching eyes, his skin is pale. He is 5'10(179cm) tall and wights 62kg.
His family was found dead in their house with all the relatives as well. He was attending Hopes peak academy as an ultimate adventurer and worked at the part time job at the cafe down the street."

My heart broke. He was all alone with no one and he isn't eve stable "thank you officer for the report...tell the boss that I will see him tomorrow and that I'm taking Rantaro in for now" I finished "yes sir" the other line said and finished the call.

We arrived at my house and I stepped out of my car. I opened the back and took him out holding him close. I entered my house and laid him down on the couch cover him with a blanked. I sat down at his side and started to pet his hair gently 'don't worry kiddo. I will fix you and made your life normal again'. I stood up and went to the kitchen to make something light to eat, he will probably be hungry when he wakes up.

-time skip by death road of despair-

I just finished the soup when I heard a whimper and a crash. I quickly turned off the stove and went to the living room.
Rantaro was on the ground curled into a ball and a frightened expression plastered on his face. I slowly kneeled down "hey kiddo. Shhhh its okay, your safe. I wont do anything to you" he looked at me and whimpered. He wanted to say something but didn't "you can speak if you want to" he looked at me shocked "y-you really w-wont h-hurt me?" his voice was raspy and quiet. "I promise I wont" he slowly uncurled and sat normally on the carpet in the living room "a-are you m-my d-dad?" I looked at him sad "sorry kiddo I'm not. Your family isn't here anymore" he looked down understanding what I meant.

At this point I sat down on the ground as well. We were sitting on the ground in silence, when he started to shift. I looked at him and he started to get closer. He hugged me and started to cry in my chest, I hugged him back holding him close felling like if I let go he will brake "shhh kiddo. Its okay. I'm here now, you wont get hurt anymore".
Rantaro calmed down soon enough only sniffing in my embrace. I whipped away his tears with my sleeve "are you okay kiddo? Can you tell me what happened, with the captor?" He nodded but didn't let go.

"I-I was walking...f-from my job I-I think and then...he...appeared and...and h-he t-the...then...I-I cant remember...H-he f-forced me...me..to-to do...stuff...I-I cant...remember..." I held him close fo my chest 'fu*king hell' this is not the way he should have lived the past year. Like Fu*k he cant even remember what happened "don't worry kiddo you will be safe from now on. I promise I wont let anything happen to you anymore" I said while I stood up still with Rantaro in my arms "t-thank you..." he whispered.

"Are you hungry kiddo?" I slowly started to walk towards the kitchen and only felt a nod on my chest "you can speak now freely. Its okay to speak" he nodded again 'this will be a lot of work to make him normal again'. I sat him down on the chair and brought him a bowl of soup. He just started at it waiting "you can eat...its okay" he looked at me "I'm n-not allowed t-to" I sat beside him "yes you can. You can eat whenever and doesn't matter how much you eat. He is not here anymore and hes not controlling you anymore" I rubbed his back and he slowly started to eat 'thats good' I sighed in relief.

He ate half of the soup before he was full 'a little eating disorder then. I see' I mentally told myself. Rantaro yawned and leaned agains my shoulder falling asleep. I picked him up and carried him to my room, I'll sleep on the couch today.
I laid him down on the bed covering him with the covers, he stirred in his sleep but didn't wake up. I caressed his hair "goodnight kiddo. Sleep well" I stood up and went to the door "g-goodnight. Thank you" I heard. I exited the door leaving a little gap not closing it fully for any occasion. Considering he went trough all of this he probably will have some nightmares.

Don't worry kiddo you are safe here. I wont let anything happen to you.
