Caroline's POV
It's the end of the day and I'm in my office just getting myself ready to leave work. I manage to get a lot of work done today and I should be done by Friday with all of it done.
I can spend the weekend relaxing or spend some time with friends as well. I hear a knock at my office door again and it opens and I see it's Elena again.
"Goodnight Caroline."Elena says with her purse over her shoulder and her work case in her hand.
"Goodnight Elena." I say back to her and Elena walks away from my door. I finish putting everything in my bag and I put it over my shoulder.
I close my office door behind me and locked it shut so no one gets in. I feel a tap on my shoulder and when I turn it's Klaus.
"Oh Mr. Mikaelson, how can I help you?" I asked him. I don't really know what he wants.
"Come to my office real quick." He says to me and he walks away to the direction towards his office. I sigh and follow him shortly.
As we made it to Klaus's office, he opens it and lets me in first. Klaus closes his office door behind him.
"Caroline please have a seat." He says and I nod and sit at the front chair at his desk.
Klaus sits in front of me while he sits on top of his desk.
"Is everything alright sir?" I asked him. I'm not sure why he called me in here but I want to find out now.
"Everything is fine Caroline, don't worry." He says.
"Then why did you call me in here?" I questioned him. Klaus sighs and stays silent for a brief moment.
"I wanted to apologize. I understand what I asked you was completely unprofessional and I realize that you are my assistant and nothing more. I also realize that you are a women who stands for what you believe in. When I gave you an offer to get a higher pay, you refused." Klaus says.
"Mr. Mikaelson I refused your offer because I don't want to seem like the type of woman to take advantage of your money." I admit to him. He at least needs to know that.
"I understand and thats why I like you so much." Klaus admits. "I still want you to be my girlfriend but I know you are not easy so that's why I am not going to push you any further but I do have an offer to give you that I know you won't refuse." Klaus says and he stands up from his desk and heads to the back of it as he digs inside one of his drawers.
Klaus takes out a card and hands it to me.
"What is this?" I asked him as I take the card from his hand.
"It's a charity event. This Saturday I'm going to a children's hospital for sick orphan kids. I donated a lot of money towards it and I also offered to sponsor it to Mikaelson's industries." Klaus explains and I look at the card again.
"So why are you giving me this?" I questioned him.
"Because I want you to be there Caroline. It would really mean a lot to me if you went there to help with the kids. I also know that you love to help with charity work in the pass." Klaus says to me. It does sounds nice and thoughtful for Klaus to sponsor it. I guess there is nothing wrong going to this event.
"Sure I will definitely come by this Saturday." I accept to Klaus and he looks relieved that I accepted it.
"Great. Thank you Caroline." He says.
"Now may I leave?" I asked him.
"Of course. Goodnight Caroline." He says.
"Goodnight Sir." I say standing up from his desk and walking out of Klaus's office.
