Chapter 13

Caroline's POV
I got a call from Klaus to meet him in his office for lunch, so I am heading there now. I can't believe I agreed to be his girlfriend even if it's just pretend.

Come on Caroline. You know you find him hot and attractive. This will give you the opportunity to make him really rock your world.

Shut up! He's just my boss.

I made it to Klaus's office and I knock on the door and open it slowly to pop my head out.

"Come in." Klaus tells me and I walk in further and close the door behind me. Klaus stands up from his desk while I make my way towards it. "Thank you for coming Caroline." Klaus says and I sit in the chair in front of him.

"I'm here, so let's get this over with." I say to him.

"Of course." Klaus says and he sits back down. "I got you some Chinese food. The best in the city." Klaus says handing me the white plastic box.

"I love Chinese food." I say to Klaus as I smile.

"Me to." He says and he smiles back. I take the box from him.

"Thank you." I say to him.

"No problem." He says.

"So for starters, we need pen and paper." I say scanning his desk to find a pen and a blank paper to write down the rules. I like to keep things organized.

"Right that makes things easier." Klaus says. I start to write numbers on the paper for each rule we want.

"Well number one, we need to still keep our relationship professional at work because we are still business partners." I say to Klaus.

"Of course." He says and I write it down.

"Number two. To make our relationship believable we need to act more like couple in the public eye." I say to him.

"What do you mean by that?" Klaus asked.

"Like holding my hand and being close to me at all times." I explained to him.

"What about public display of affection?" Klaus asked. "Do I get to kiss you in public?" Klaus asked again.

"Of course. We have to make it look like we are really into each other." I say to Klaus and I write it down. I move my eye over to Klaus and I see a small smirk slip through his mouth as I write it down.

"Number three is we can't see other people while we are dating. It's just if we get caught with other people the press could use that and mess this whole relationship up." I added and Klaus nods.

"Number four is we can't have sex with anyone neither. That means no flings or one nightstands when we are together." I say to Klaus.

"No sex. Got it. I can do that." He says. Surprisingly he's being very cooperative. If this works out, we can really pull this off.

"Anything you want to add?" I asked Klaus.

"Um yes. If we are going to be together, you can't live in your apartment anymore. You would have to live in my place instead." Klaus says and I'm confused.

"Why?" I asked him.

"Because the press will follow you and what if someone like a boy comes to visit you and they see you walk in with him. They can manipulate a harmless situation into something bad. It would be more safe if you live with me. Then no one will get suspicious." Klaus explains.

It definitely makes sense.

"Well I can't just leave my apartment. I have bills to pay." I tell him.

"Don't worry. I'll help pay for your rent." Klaus suggested.

"You don't have to." I say to him.

"What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't help my girlfriend pay her rent?" Klaus says with a smirk. I guess he's right.

"Okay fine. That will work." I say and I write it down. "Another thing we really need to put on this list is we can't have any type of intimacy together. That means we can't have any sexual interaction with each other. Even though we are in a relationship, this is still pretend. We can't let this fake relationship get to our heads." I explained to him. Klaus looks likes he's having a mental argument with his mind about this.

"Alright that make sense." He finally says. "But every Friday you have to go out to dinner with me." Klaus adds and I nod and write it down.

"Anything else?" I asked.

"One more thing. You have to go to every charity or event as my date for the next three months." Klaus says and I write it down.

"Deal." I say. I write my signature at the bottom and I give the paper to Klaus and he does the same.

"I will go to my lawyer and actually get this to be a real contract." Klaus says and I nod.

"That's perfect." I say to Klaus and we finally eat our lunch and peace together.
