Chapter 20

Caroline's POV
We made it to Salvatore industries. It was a pretty long trip but we made it still. The building is tall and big but I feel like the  Mikaelson's building is bigger. If I can remember correctly, I met both of them at the gala.

Me and Elena walk inside the building and the inside is a bit small but nice at the same time. Theres a lady on the left at the front desk when you walk in.

"Salvatore industries, how can I help you?" A blonde lady I hear on the phone says and me and Elena walk towards her. "One second." She says pointing her finger at us. "Don't worry, I will put you on another line with him right now." She says and she puts the phone down. "Oh my god, Elena. What are you doing here?" The blonde lady asked her and she has a big bright smile on her face.

"Hey Lexi, we are here to see Stefan. Klaus called him earlier and he wanted us to meet him her for a contract." Elena says to her.

"Right, well you are here just in time. Stefan is right in his office. He just finished a case an hour ago. I'll let him know that you are here and you're on your way to see him now." She says. "Mr Salvatore, Elena Gilbert and what's your name ma'am?" She asked me.

"Oh Caroline Forbes." I tell her.

"And Caroline Forbes are on their way to see you now. Okay, thank you. Bye." She says hanging up the phone. "He's expecting you now." She says and me and Elena begin to walk away from her desk to go to one of the available Elevators

"Who was that?" I asked Elena

"That's Lexi. She's an old friend but she's mostly Stefan's best friend." Elena admits to me.

"She seems nice." I say to her.

"She is. Lexi and I went to college together for a few years." Elena admits me and I nod.

The elevator door opens up for us to get off and as we do, we walk down this pretty large hall way until we see the large door at the end of it. Elena knocks and opens it.

"Elena come in, please." Stefan says and now I remember how he looks like again. Short brown hair with forest green eyes.

"Hey Stefan." Elena says as we walk in further.

"And you brought Klaus's date that I met at the Gala a few nights ago." Stefan says as he walks towards us. "It's nice to see you again...."

"Caroline." I finished his sentence as I shake his hand.

"Right of course, my apologies." Stefan says. "So Klaus faxed over a contract that you to made about this Relationship you two have." Stefan says as he walks towards his desk.

"Yes." I admit to him.

"Well I looked over at it and it seems to be very good and organized. So with a couple of tweaks and some documents, I was able to make it into a real contract. Now I already have Klaus's signature from the pass times he's worked for me but I definitely need yours." Stefan says and I walk up closer to his desk to look at our new and improved contract.

It's looks pretty legit and I like it.

"Great, where can I sign?" I asked him.

"Right over here." Stefan says pointing to the line for the signature and I write my name down. "Also write here for a take home copy." Stefan says and I do what he tells me to do. "Excellent, thank you Caroline. I will definitely keep this one safe but you can take this one and keep it with you." Stefan says passing the copy contract to me.

"Thank you." I say to him.

"No problem. It was my pleasure doing business with you." He says with a smile.

"So Stefan, where's Damon?" Elena suddenly asked.

"He's in Mystic falls at a very important meeting but he asked me to take in charge while he's gone." Stefan explained to her.

"Oh, sounds nice." Elena says.

"It's pretty stressful but it has to be done." Stefan says.

"Well it was good to see you and Lexi again." Elena says.

"Yes of course." Stefan says and me and Elena begin to walk out his office before things get weird. I wave Stefan a goodbye before closing the door.

"See I told you it's awkward." Elena says to me and I laugh.
