Chapter 52

Caroline's POV
It's the end of the day and it's time for me to go. I honestly don't know where to go exactly. I don't want to see him or face him at all. I can't go to Klaus's house and I'm definitely not going back to my apartment.

I just can't sleep alone anymore. I want to be with someone, I want to be with Klaus. I walk out of my office and as I am about to leave, I see Kol packing up in his office through the window.

I knock on his door and open it slowly.

"Hey Kol." I say to him.

"Oh hey. You alright? Are you looking for Klaus?" He asked me.

"Uh no I'm not. I actually wanted to ask you something." I say to him as I walk in closer to him.

"Okay shoot." He says.

"Can I stay at your place for a bit? I know it sounds weird but I'm in a really bad state right now and I don't know where else to go. You are kind of my only hope." I asked him.

"Of course darling. You can stay at my place but you owe me an explanation." He says with a smirk and he picks up his suitcase and I follow him out of his office.

It feels kind of weird asking Kol to let me stay with him but I know I can trust him. We walk outside to the building but I don't see any limo outside.

"Where's your limo?" I asked him.

"You definitely been driving in a limo way too much with Klaus. I prefer my own ride." Kol says and I follow him to his car. It's a red Lamborghini and it looks amazing. I've never seen one up close before.

"Nice ride." I compliment him.

"Thanks darling." He says to me and Kol opens his car door for me. "After you." He says and I roll my eyes playfully as I sit in the passenger seat in Kol's amazingly comfortable Lamborghini.

"Now tell me this is better than my brothers limo." Kol says to me.

"Way better." I say to him and I see a smirk from Kol as he starts his engine.

We arrive at Kol's pretty huge mansion. It's not as big as Klaus but it is fairly large.

"Welcome to Casa de Kol." Kol says in Spanish as he parks in front of his house. Kol quickly opens the door for me as he picks up my hand and helps me out of his car.

"Your house is so nice." I say to him.

"Come on. You haven't see what's inside of it yet." Kol says as I follow him into his big Mansion.

Kol has a large chandelier as you walk in and it's really nice. His color theme for his house is gold and white and a little silver.

His house seems more spacious because of the lack of furniture he has but he still has a really nice house. I met his personal chief but I couldn't really understand what she was saying because she was speaking Korean.

"And this is my room." Kol says as he opens his door. I look inside of it and he as a huge California king bed, it looks exactly like Klaus's bed actually. He doesn't have a large window like Klaus but he does have a big balcony.

"It's really nice in here Kol. Your house is amazing. I didn't expect anything less from you since you are a Mikaelson after all." I say to him.

"I know it's not your first time in a mansion since you lived with Klaus but what happened between you two? You guys seemed so inseparable." Kol asked me.

I'm still debating if I should tell him the whole truth or not. Me and Klaus only started real dating for a day and we started faking dating for only a two weeks.

"Come on Caroline, you can trust me. I'll never tell a soul." Kol says to me as he places his hand on my shoulder. It's too painful to think about.

"Klaus broke up with me because of Aurora. She said if he doesn't break up with me, she will reveal his pass to the judge and possibly the whole of New Orleans to." I admit to him as I feel my tears coming down my face.

"I'm so sorry Caroline. I am. You don't deserve that. You're a good person and I know you deeply cared about my brother but he is just an idiot." Kol says to me.

"I hate him so much." I say to Kol as I try to wipe my tears away from my face. "But I still love him."

"I just know that if I was with you, I would have never hurt you. I would have loved you, cared for you, and be there for you." Kol says to me as he looks deeply into my eyes. I feel Kol's thumb as he begins to wipe my tear from my eye.

"Thank you Kol." I say to him.

"You're welcome darling." He says to me with a small faint smile.

"I don't want to be alone tonight. Do you mind staying with me?" I asked him.

"Of course. I'll always be here for you. You can stay here as long as you want. You're my special guest." Kol says to me and I give him a small faint smile now.

"Thank you." I say to him again.

"I'll have Jen bring you clothes for you to wear." Kol says as he begins to walk out of the room. Leaving me alone.

I just feel so empty, loss and heartbroken but Kol seems to be trying to help me get put back together. I'm really glad I have him as a friend.
