Caroline's POV
I left Klaus's office about a while ago to finish up some work that needs to be done. I have seen a few stares when I walk pass his office from people but I didn't mind them.
This will all blow over eventually and I will get my life back again. At least I can enjoy the fame while it last. For a few months, I will be known as Klaus Mikaelson's girlfriend. The richest man in New Orelans. It could be kind of fun.
I hear a knock on my door and It opens and I see it's Elena stepping in with a pretty worried look on her face.
"Hey Caroline." Elena says nervously.
"Hey Elena. What's up?" I asked her.
"Are you alright?" She asked me.
"Yeah I'm fine." I say to her.
"Really?" She asked again.
"Yes Elena. I'm fine. Don't worry." I assure her.
"I thought you would be upset about the news." Elena says.
"I was pretty upset but I have nothing to worry about. Klaus and I made an agreement." I admit to Elena.
"Really? What is it?" She asked stepping closer to me.
"Well we decided to go public and be a couple." I admit to Elena and her eyes go wide.
"Wow um that's wow really?" Elena says still surprised.
"Klaus hated that the press made it seem like I was only sleeping with him. So to make it not seem that way, we decided to do a fake relationship for the public." I explained to Elena.
"The idea of that sounds a bit crazy but wouldn't you guys get worry about catching feelings while you're in the relationship." Elena says.
"No because we made a contract. The contract says we don't do anything intimacy together or any sexual interaction. We only kiss each other for the public. That's all." I say to her.
"That makes sense but are you sure you guys gonna be able to pull this off?" Elena asked me.
"Klaus is already having his lawyer make the contract for us. This will work, plus it's only for 3 months." I say to her.
"Well as long as you guys have everything under control. I'll support it." Elena says and I smile.
"Thanks. Plus it could be kind of nice to be famous for a while. Even though I will be known for dating the riches man in the city. At least people will see me as a big ideal." I say to Elena but she laughs.
"Trust me you'll get use to it. When me and Elijah started dating. Cameras were all over us. It was so impossible but we manage to keep ourself away from them for awhile." Elena says. "But you're dating Klaus and that's gonna be a big deal. People are going to want to know how you guys know it each. Do you guys have a back up story?" Elena says.
Oh my god. I totally forgot about that. I don't know anything about Klaus and he doesn't know anything about me. I barley know anything about him.
"We never got to that. That is literally the most important thing!" I say starting to panic.
"Hey, woah relax. I'm sure you and Klaus will figure it out. Just talk about it at dinner. I'm sure when you guys talk and eat you can use that time to get to know each other." She says to me and I calm down a bit.
"Right of course." I say to her.
"Dinner is the best place to get to know each other." Elena says and I nod. "Well good luck. I have to get some paperwork work for the boss." Elena says and she leaves my office room.
For this fake relationship to work I need to know Klaus and that requires to actually spend a lot more time with him then I thought.
