Chapter 21

Caroline's POV
Me and Elena made it back to Mikaelson industries and we are super hungry. I literally didn't eat any breakfast because I only had coffee. It's almost pass lunch and Klaus is probably still in his meeting like he said.

"So Klaus told me this morning, you guys are going to dinner tonight." Elena says.

"Yeah hopefully we will get to know each other better at dinner." I say to Elena.

"How's living in a mansion with him? It's a nice place. I've been there a couple of times." Elena asked me.

"It's so big. I love it." I say to her.

"Hello ladies, I hope you guys are talking about me." Kol says approaching us.

"In your dreams Kol." Elena says rolling her eyes.

"I'm sure Caroline must be dreaming about me." Kol says to me.

"Mmh try again." I say to him with a smirk.

"Ouch you girls are brutal but I have to go. I'll see you guys later." Kol says walking pass us but he mostly looks up at me with a smirk on his face as he walks pass.

"You didn't tell me two of the Mikaelson's like you." Elena says.

"Who Kol? He's harmless." I say to Elena.

"Harmless my ass. First Klaus now Kol. Caroline you have the whole package." Elena says and I laugh.

"Trust me. Kol is just a flirt." I say to Elena.

"I would be careful if I were you. Klaus and Kol can be quite competitive sometimes." Elena warns with a smirk on her face.

"Klaus and I are in a relationship, for now at least. After 3 months, I can have my normal life back. I would simply be remembered as Klaus's ex girlfriend and that's okay with me." I admit to Elena.

"You both are crazy just going through with this plan but who am I to judge?" Elena says and we walk into the lounge to get some food.

It's the end of the day and it's time for me to clock out and get out of here. I manage to finish all the tax transcripts before Sunday. I had to crank up on it since I waisted a lot of time today.

"Knock knock." Elena imitates. "You ready for your dinner date. Klaus told me that he will be waiting for you. So we should get there before 9:30pm." Elena says.

"I'm ready. Let's go." I say to Elena and I walk out of my office.

Elena and I walk outside to the limo and we both sit inside of it as the limo driver drives us to Klaus's beautiful mansion. I will never get tired of his mansion.

"Wow you guys are trending." Elena blurts out.

"Who's trending?" I asked her.

"You and Klaus. Look it says New Orleans hottest couple. Klaus and his new girlfriend Caroline." Elena says showing me the article on her phone.

"Wow they even got my good angel to." I added looking at the picture of me and Klaus.

"Oh look they even have a cute ship name for you guys." Elena says. "Klaroline." She says and I look at the ship name on her phone.

"Aww that is cute." I say to her.

"Now you are no longer known as a fling." Elena says to me.

"Thank god." I say to her.

Me and Elena made it to Klaus's mansion and we quickly get out of the limo so I can get dress for my dinner with Klaus.

"I was thinking we go for a gold look or maybe a red. You would look hot in red." Elena says looking through my closet.

"I usually don't wear red dress. Maybe a gold is best for me." I say to Elena.

"Fair. Klaus definitely have style. The clothes he bought you are designer." Elena says.

"And they are expensive." I added.

"Elijah use to spoil me a lot when we started dating but I told him he doesn't have to do that. I can buy my own clothes." She says to me.

"Well I hope Klaus doesn't get in the habit of buying more clothes for me. He's already paying my rent for my apartment while I live with him for 3 months." I say to Elena.

"That's actually kind of nice of him but why did you have to move in with him?" Elena asked me.

"He's afraid that the press will follow me into my apartment. Mostly if a boy tries to get in. He wants me to be safe that's all." I explain to her.

"Or he doesn't want anyone trying to get inside your pants." Elena says and I roll my eyes.

"Please, not even Klaus can get inside my pants." I say to Elena.

"Why not? You guys are together." Elena says to me.

"Fake relationship and no way." I remind her.

"Fake or not. I wouldn't pass the opportunity to have sex with a millionaire. I mean I wouldn't." Elena says.

"If me and Klaus had sex it would break the contract. We are not allowed to have sexual interactions." I remind Elena.

"That's right. I keep forgetting. Oh look I found the perfect dress for you." Elena says taking it off the hanger.

"It's beautiful." I say looking at it.

"Klaus is definitely gonna fall in love with you after tonight." Elena says.
