Chapter 1

Caroline's POV
As the taxi driver drops me off, I am standing in front of the best company in New Orleans. The Mikaelson Industries. I can't believe I got an internship here to be an assistant to the one and only Klaus Mikaelson's.

I'm so excited to start. I can even do a whole bunch of backflips right now. As I walk in, the entrance way is filed with hardworking workers at their desk. There's a bunch of people talking on the phone and typing away on their computer.

I can't wait to do that here.

"There's that big bright smile." A tall women with brunette hair and brown eyes says. "You must be Caroline Forbes. Our new intern." She offers out her hand and I take it. She sounds so sweet. "My name is Elena and I was assigned to show you around here." She says.

"Okay." I say to her with a big smile.

"Alright let's get started." She says and we begin to start the tour. "As you see these are our workers. Their job is to answer cell phone calls and help others over the phone. Elena explained and I nod of understatement. "Over here is the paper workers. They sit here all day and write in reports about everyones tax transcripts." Elena says. "Now my favorite place of the day. The lounge. All workers who are on lunch break eats here or if you want to go out and eat you could but the food here is exceptional." Elena informs me and I smile. "Now to show you what you came here for." Elena knocks on this giant door. She slowly opens it and gives me a sign that I am allowed to come in.

The room is very huge and kind of cold at the same time.

"Mr. Mikaelson your new assistant is here." Elena says and I see the man himself in the flesh. Of course I've seen him before on magazines and newspapers but actually seeing the one and only Klaus Mikaelson  in person is a whole different ball game.

His deep blue eyes and his curly dirty blonde hair but it's lighter when it's in sunlight. He has facial but not a lot. It suits him so well and he looks more like he's in his early thirties but he's actually twenty four years old.

"Elena what time is it?" He asked her.

"It is..... eleven o'clock sir." She says looking at her watch. Klaus rolls his eyes in annoyance.

"And when is lunch?" He asked her.

"In about another hour sir."And this time he sighs "Sorry about that. He gets grumpy before lunch." Elena whisper to me and I nod.

"Elena I'm going to need that paper from the judge. I want to get this over with as soon as possible." Klaus says and he doesn't seem pretty happy . Could be stress but I couldn't help hearing what he was saying.

Did something bad happen? And what kind of paperwork is he doing that's involving the judge?

"Yes sir. I will go retrieve it right now." Elena says an she signals me to leave with her and I do. "So what do you think of the boss man?" Elena asked me.

"Well... hes a little."

"Intimidating" Elena finishes.

"More like intense but I'm pretty sure it's part of the job." I say to her.

"Well don't worry, once you get use to working with him. You'll get use to it." Elena says. She is so nice and sweet. "While I go fetch the boss his paperwork, how about I show you to your office." Elena suggested and I give her a big smile again.

This is it. My very own office. I literally can't wait. Elena takes me to another door but this one was a bit small. She takes out of key out of her pocket and begins to unlock the door.

"Step right in Ms. Forbes." She says and I walk in to this little yet cozy office. There's a clear desk and a very huge computer and a pretty medium size window behind it. "This is your office." Elena says and I can't believe.

"It's perfect." I say to her.

"I'm glad you like. Well I should get going. If you need me this is my phone line." Elena says as she gives me a card and I take it.

"Okay thank you so much Elena." I say to her.

"No worries. Have a nice first day Caroline." Elena says with a smile and she walks out of my new office while she closes the door behind her.

I turn around and begin to sit in my office chair as I spin around in joy. This is everything I ever wanted. My dream and I can't wait to start it.
