CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE
THE MISTLETOE

DECEMBER ARRIVED, bringing with it more snow and a positive avalanche of homework for the fifth-years. Artemis, unlike Ron and Hermione, who were prefects, spent her free time with Fred, George, and company. Because her Captain title was given to Angelina and Artemis was banned from playing Quidditch, she had too many lazy days on which she often just read a book or sleeping on the couch in the Common Room.

But over the time, Christmas was approaching and she was going home, to celebrate with her family.
For the first time in her school career, she very much wanted to spend the holidays away from Hogwarts. Between her Quidditch ban and Umbridge's stifling rules, she certainly wanted to get away from Hogwarts for a while.

The only thing she really looked forward to were the DA meetings, and they would have to stop over the holidays, as nearly everybody in the DA would be spending the time with their families.

Hermione was going skiing with her parents, Josie was spending her holiday in Sicily, Theo will be with his family. Tom, Mia and Daphne are staying in the quarters of the Order, and Pansy was invited to spend her Christmas with the Tonks- Lestrange family.

Of course, her parents were strictly against her communication with Muggles and Blood Traitors, but after a while, they began not to give a damn about their daughter and therefore left her to do whatever she wanted, but with the request not to return to their home until the end of the school year. And Pansy only needed that, because the girl no longer intended to return home, she would stay with Mia.

She and Wyatt arrived in the Room of the Requirement for the last DA meeting before the holidays. There weren't many people in the room, Harry, the Ravenclaw Luna Lovegood, Katie Bell, and Angelina Johnson.

While Harry was trying to hide a bunch of golden baubles with his face on them, Angelina and Katie rushed to Artemis.

"We've got a good news," Angelina exclaimed, "we've finally found people to replace you!"

A sad smile crept on Artemis's face, "Well who are they?"

"Ginny is going to be a seeker, while Katie accepted to replace you. As for the beaters - Nick Sawyer and Damion Taylor."

"Well," Artemis trailed forcing a smile, "that's great."

She was somewhat annoyed by the fact that Angelina took her place as the captain and found a replacement so quickly. Ever since she was a child, Artemis had always played Quidditch, and Ted had taught her to love it and taught her to be a worthy chaser.

But now with all her problems, she didn't even have time to get on the broom (Not that she has right, because Umbridge confiscated her broom). The fear of the talk with Draco had not yet left her mind, she could feel Bellatrix was coming, and this time nothing would stop her from reaching her daughter.
