CHAPTER FIFTY
DATE

ARTEMIS WOKE UP in the middle of the night. It was 2 in the morning, exactly on February 14th. She raised her head and looked at the other three beds, where three sleeping figures could be seen.

Earlier, she had arranged with her friend Mia to give her her broom for the date in Hermione today.  Meanwhile, twins Fred and George found out about her plan and decided to accompany the girl just in case.  Artemis tried to persuade them that everything would be fine, but they withdrew and insisted that they will come with her, which forced her to agree.

Artemis slowly got out of the bed and sat on the carpet. She leaned down and grabbed her pants and sweater, which she had hidden after they went to sleep. The girl quickly changed into her clothes and lifted her head over the bed, checking to see if her roommates are asleep. After she made sure that the other three were asleep, Artemis carefully crawled towards the door and slowly opened it, leaving the dorms.

Artemis hurriedly exited the hall and went down the stair, reaching the Common Room where Fred and George were waiting for her. The boys smiled once they saw her and approached her, handing her a piece of parchment. Artemis looked at them confused. "What is this?"

"Marauders' map," Fred said.

"We borrowed it from Harry," George said. "We thought it could be helpful in case if Umbridge's around."

Artemis smiled and patted them on the shoulders. "You are unbelievable idiots."

Fred and George laughed and looked at the girl, smiles broadly on their lips.  "Always and forever."

The three of them came out of the tower and headed for the secret passages that led them right in front of the entrance to the Slytherin Common Room. Artemis stood in front of the wall and took a piece of paper from his pocket and whispered it.  Minutes later, the wall parted, revealing the silver and green colours of the Common Room.

The lamps were dim, but because of all the dark furniture, their lights were colouring into green. Artemis walked slowly inside and looked around for Mia, followed by Fred and George.

Fred shivered and looked around the room. "It looks so..."

"Cold and dark, I know," Mia called from the desk, causing the three of the whirl around startled. "But eventually you get used to it."

Mia got up and went to a closed corner by the small library and pulled out her broom. She handed it to Artemis and smiled. "Be careful and DO NOT break it. And try not to ruin your last chance with Granger, because I will not let Pansy comfort you again."

Suddenly Snape's monotonous voice was heard. The four started to panic and frantically started to look around to escape. Fred and George followed ran outside, but before Artemis could reach the wall, the exit was closed. The girl panicked when she saw she had nowhere to run and hurriedly hid behind one of the couches as Mia tucked her broom behind one of the cupboards. The Rosewood girl turned to Artemis and pressed a finger to her lips, indicating that Artemis should be quiet while Mia dealt with Snape.
