CHAPTER SEVENTY- FOUR
FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT

Tom, Daphne, and Arty stared at Bella, their mouths agape, unable to process the revelation.

"Lyra Black," Tom echoed, his voice tinged with disbelief. "Sirius had a twin sister? Why haven't we heard of her before?"

Bella stepped further into the room, her eyes glittering with a mix of amusement and nostalgia. "Lyra was a master of secrets. She was an undercover operative for the Order of the Phoenix, pretending to be a Death Eater to gather information. But she wasn't just any spy. She delved into ancient magic, the kind of magic that even Voldemort feared."

Daphne's eyes widened. "Stronger than Voldemort? How is that possible?"

Bella smirked, clearly relishing the moment. "Old, ancient magic, child. Spells and rituals forgotten by time, lost in the pages of history. Lyra found them, mastered them. It made her a formidable force, one that could have turned the tide of the war. But with power came danger. She realized Voldemort would stop at nothing to control her, to use her powers to dominate everything."

Arty leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. "So she erased herself from everyone's memories to protect us all? But why go to such lengths?"

Bella's expression turned serious. "Lyra knew that if Voldemort discovered her true potential, he would twist her powers for his own ends. She chose to sacrifice her existence to ensure that her knowledge wouldn't fall into his hands. By removing herself from our memories, she protected not just herself but the entire wizarding world. She became a ghost, a shadow, hiding in the cracks of our minds."

Tom frowned, deep in thought. "But why leave traces, like the letters to Lily?"

"Perhaps a part of her couldn't bear to be completely forgotten," Bella mused. "Or maybe she hoped that one day, someone would uncover the truth and use her knowledge to defeat Voldemort once and for all."

Artemis's curiosity got the better of her. "Mother, how do you still remember her? If Lyra erased everyone's memories, why are you the exception?"

Bellatrix hesitated, a rare flicker of vulnerability crossing her usually stoic features. She took a deep breath before answering. "When I was still at Hogwarts, in my final years, I was Lyra's mentor. I taught her all the dark magic I knew, preparing her to become a Death Eater." Tom, Daphne, and Artemis listened intently, their eyes fixed on Bella.

"At first, I didn't know about her affection for Lily Evans," Bella continued. "But one day, I found out by accident. Lyra had been careless, left a letter where I could see it. She begged me to keep her secret, and I did. She trusted me with her life."
