CHAPTER SIX BITTER REJECTION
IT HAD PASSED WEEK SINCE HERMIONE AND ARTEMIS KISSED. The Bushy-haired witch desperately tried to avoid Artemis, scared that she may ruined every chance with the curly-haired beauty.Every time when Artemis wanted to talk with her, Hermione cut her off saying that she needs to study or is busy with something else.
Artemis's hope started slowly but surely to die, thinking that Hermione considered that kiss for a mistake. And all she wanted to do was to tell the bushy-haired girl how insanely she fancies her. But Granger couldn't even give her chance to take a glance at her.
After they pulled away from each other, Artemis went crimson red "Mione" Artemis whispered against her lips "Hermione I-" Hermione cut her off "No! I- uh- I have to go. I will talk with you later" Artemis looked at her, eyes filling with sadness "Mione wait" but before she could even finish, the bushy-haired girl was already out of the common room, leaving the Lestrange twin with the little hope that they will discuss it, but this time never came.
About two days later, Hogsmeade trips had started to be run. Artemis was going to ask Hermione to go with her, but since the things which happened last week, she couldn't even get close to the girl. Also she and Apollo were busy trying to find their uncle Sirius Black, so they decided it was a good chance to take a look in Hogsmeade.
Walking in the small Village along with his brother, her scarf wrapped around her neck. "Where do you reckon he can be?" She asked him "Aunty said in a cave or something . Let's go in Honeydukes first, I want some Cauldron Cakes, then we will look for him." They agreed.
When she came in the shop, she immediately regretted it. She saw Hermione and Ron laughing, that made her heart shatter. 'She looks happy with him, maybe that's why she ignores me. Maybe she fancies him, not me. Hell who would like Lestrange".
Apollo sensed her uncomfortable mood and sent her a worried look. She told him about the kiss and how she left her, that made the older boy's blood boil. No one leaves his sister that way. He was about to go and talk with the Granger girl but Artemis stopped him saying that she will be fine. "You go outside, I'll buy you some pastries" he reassured her " Thanks" she murmured and left the shop.
She waited for him outside, looking the students laughing and talking to each other. Some people greeted her, which she returned cheerfully. Then she heard the bell of door clinging. "Ronald you are insane" that angelic voice made her turn around to see two certain Griffindors laughing.
Ron noticed her and greeted her "Oi Lestrange, you're alone? Wanna come along?" Hermione's face show fear and she quickly opened her mouth to tell Ron "I don't think-" "No she won't come along" angry voice boomed behind the two Gryffindors "Granger, why don't you go with your boyfriend, instead of annoying my sister" Hermione turned to see who said it until she met Apollo's angry glare . She opened her mouth to respond but was cut off by Artemis "Apollo leave it, let's go." "Yeah, let's leave the two love birds have fun. Stay away from my sister, Granger" he sneered at the her and grabbed his sister, dragging Artemis away from them.
