CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE
SILVER AND OPALS

MUCH TO ARTEMIS' dismay she headed to the library after bidding her goodbyes with her friends during the lunch hour. The boys and Isa seemed rather confused, even dumbfounded that Artemis was about to tutor someone, usually she was the one ending in need of tutoring. Daphne, on the other hand, was excited that at least one of her friends would be with her, or at least near her, during her classes in the library. Nothing personal, but most of the students who we're teaching were stuck up, except for Hermione, who Daphne didn't have much of a chat with, though. McGonagall turned out to be quite the persistant Artemis to tutor other students for who knows what reason. Either way Artemis had no choice but to show up at the library after lunch and tutor someone in Transfiguration.

Artemis stepped into the library, greeted by the scowling face of Madame Pince, who was sitting at her desk as she always did, unless she was making the rounds to check out her precious books. Artemis had a feeling that if no one showed up in the library she'd get her ass stuck from sitting on her mahogany chair.

Sparing her an unpleasant look, Artemis walked heading for the deepest part of the library, where the lessons were normally held. Two of the Ravenclaws were seated next to each other at the first two desks, sitting next to the students they were tutoring while they wrote something in their scrolls. A few rows further on, Artemis saw Daphne enthusiastically explaining something to the student next to her and waved her hand slightly as Artemis passed her. With the last desk at the end occupied by Granger, Artemis grasped the idea that she was being forced to train none other than Wyatt Carter.

She slumped on the desk, right across him, letting out a loud groan. The two Racenclaws in the father two rows shushed her and she sent them a nasty glare.

"What can I help you with?" Artemis muttered boredly, leaning against her arm. Wyatt hesitated for a moment, his cheeks turning a rosy color, and pursed his lips. Artemis groaned once more. "Nothing personal, but I was forced to come here," she emphasized on forced loudly, glaring directly at Hermione, who smiled slyly. " so don't waste my time. I have more important things to do."

"Well, uh... I have some gaps from fifth year, if we could start with that?" Wyatt offered timidly. Artemis curtly nodded and pulled out her wand twirling it around her fingers.

"Easy, what do you want to start with?"

The lesson went reasonably well, Artemis tried to explain everything to Wyatt in the simplest way possible and she thought he grasped something. Wyatt was a slow learner, but he still made sure to memorize everything that came out of the girl's mouth, even the slurs directed at the tutors who made several remarks about her loud tone during the session.

Daphne had finished with her student and had left like the rest of the groups. Only two desks were filled, Artemis' and Hermione's, her session having ended an hour ago and she was left in her seat to write homework, or at least that was her stupid excuse because it was clear to all three of them exactly what her plan was.
