CHAPTER FIVE THE FIRST KISS
AFTER MALFOY'S DRAMATIC FIASCO, he obviously told his father about the latest events, which earned Buckbeak a court date.
As much as Artemis dreaded that, she also dreaded their potion teacher, Professor Snape.
Today in the class they would be making a new potion, which name Artemis wasn't so interested to learn about.
The point was that Artemis was never good at potions, or at least she wasn't trying to be. Their teacher was no other than Severus Snape, she still was spending her time making plans for future pranks with the twins or drooling over her sweet Hermione, thinking how hot she looks when she is focused on her work.
"Stop looking over Miss Granger and focus on your work, Lestrange!"
At that, Artemis blushes slightly and glared at the Professor, ready to respond with her usual attitude "I didn't know you're looking at me every second, Professor. Am I that beautiful?" She smirked mischievously at the teacher while the other students snickered
"Detention, Lestrange. And believe me if you were in my house-"
"Well sadly, Im not. But it would be a quite show seeing you drooling over me in the common room, right Professor"
At this all Griffindor students roared in laugh, even Hermione giggled silently, but send the Lestrange girl a scolding look, mouthing 'we will talk later'
"SILENCE! Twenty points from Griffindor, you can thank to Miss Lestrange for that."
They all went silent, sending the curly-haired girl playful looks. Next to her, Seamus Finnigan leaned over muttering " It was worth it" and patting her back.
The girl was on the urge to fall asleep when Snape's voice boomed behind her, making her jolt.
"Orange. Tell me, boy does anything penetrate that thick skull of yours? Didn't you hear me say, quite clearly, that only one rat spleen was needed? Didn't I state plainly that a dash of leech juice would suffice? What do I have to do to make you understand, Longbottom?"
Artemis felt bad for him, he looked on the verge of tears. Hermione decided to step up. "Sir, I could help him-" "I don't remember asking you to show off Miss Granger" Snape said coldly, making Artemis glare daggers at the man. "Oh shut up, you cold snake. We both know that Granger knows more than even you, you idi-"
"I would shut up if I were you, Lestrange" he sneered, making her smirk "Make me" the whole class looked at her with opened jaws. No one ever showed that kind of attitude to Snape, NO ONE.
"Detention for a week, Lestrange. I hope that shows you, who is the teacher, because clearly is not Miss Granger"
Artemis smirk fell, looking at him in disbelief "But-, b-but I have quidditch next-" she stuttered. 'Wood is going to kick me from the Astronomy tower' she thought.
