CHAPTER SIXTEEN THE SECRET GIFT
THE TWO STUDENTS LOOKED AT THE GIRL, confused, while Hermione was looking for something in the collar of her jacket.
" 'Mione what did Dumbledore mean?" Artemis asked, sitting in the bed.
The bushy-haired girl ignored her and pulled out a very long and very thin gold chain.
"Harry come here," she said hurriedly. "Quick!"
"Hey what about me? I'm coming too!" Artemis immediately stood up, but Hermione rushed to her and put her in the bed.
"You're not going anywhere." Said Hermione with a stern tone.
"You're not my mother! You can't tell me what to do! Stop worrying and let me help!" Artemis exclaimed in an annoyed tone.
"Baby," Hermione pleaded, "you're already hurt enough. If something happens to you I won't forgive myself."
"But-"
A small tear fell on Hermione's cheek and she whispered pleadingly, "Please..."
Artemis face softened and she left a deep sigh. "Fine."
Hermione smiled, cupped her cheek and pecked her lips. Behind them, Harry was watching awkwardly and left a cough.
"Sorry to interrupt the cute moment. But aren't we going to save Sirius"
She went back to Harry and turned to Artemis, sending her a reassuring smile.
The Lestrange girl winked and mouthed 'Be careful'. Hermione nodded and tossed the chain around Harry's neck. "Are you ready?" She asked and the boy nodded.
Artemis was watching how Hermione flipped the hourglass three times. After a second they disappeared.
The curly-haired girl sighed and laid in the bed closing her eyes, falling into a deep sleep.

Artemis immediately jolted, startled and started to gasp frantically. Hermione ran to her, embracing her in a hug, kissing her forehead.
She leaned and whispered, "I'm here, I'm here. It's okay."
Artemis turned to look at her. Hermione's face was soiled with dirt and little scratches. Artemis panicked.
"What happened to you?"
"I'm okay Artemis. Just scratches. It's okay."
"N-no it's not, I had to come with you. I knew it was a bad idea and I let you-"
