Shattered Mind: Ahsoka Tano

Chapter 30

     " We're here."

Ahsoka glanced out the window at the planet that they had arrived upon. She couldn't believe it. " Mandalore? Really Lux. Even I wouldn't be this stupid. It's a neutral planet. You'll be lucky to not get arrested." 

" Iv'e already thought about that. Iv'e meet this group called Death Watch. I'm supposed to hand you over to them. Akorra will be there waiting and then I'll get my information on Dooku. Simple." Lux said a little to cocky for her taste.

" Lux, I'm warning you, you don't know what you're getting yourself into. The Death Watch are murders and Akorra is a Sith. Once you hand me over they will kill you. Just listen to me for once!" she shouted at him. For a Senator, he was being really stupid.

" I don't care Ahsoka. This is my chance. Don't take it from me!"

Ahsoka was shocked by his words. " Do you hear yourself? You kidnapped me Lux. Do you realize that?! All for what, information about Dooku. I feel bad about your mother, but what are you doing to do once you know where he is, huh? You can't kill him. Even the Jedi have had trouble defeating him, what makes you think that you can?" 

" I'll find a way." he got up again and came towards her with a small gun. " I'm-"

" I swear if you say I'm sorry again, you'll wish you had been born a protocol droid." she sneered.

Lux sighed, " I really hoped that you would understand." he said sadly, raising the gun to her head.

" And I thought you would listen to reason, but hey some things are just impossible aren't they."

Lux pulled the trigger to the stun gun. 

     " Rex, you come with me. Hardcase, Jesse,Kix you guys check out over there. She couldn't have gotten too far if she's still on the planet. Check all the motels, she has to be staying at one of them" 

Anakin spread his troops around where he hoped that his Padawan could possibly be.

" Come on Rex, let's start at that that motel and we'll work our way down this block." he told his Captain.

Once they entered Anakin looked at the front desk. It was a female Rodian, which he realized that he could get information out of easily.

" Watch and learn Rex." Anakin straighten his posture and walked up to her.

" Hello there." he said deep and slowly. The Rodian glanced up at him and immediately stopped what she was doing.

" Well, I haven't had any of your kind down here in a while." she blinked her galaxy blue eyes at him. " Are you here to talk or do you need information?" she then asked suspiciously

" Why can't it be both." he responded leaning closer over the table.

Rex stared at his General flirt with the check in lady. He sat down in the chair and waited for him to finish whatever he was trying to accomplish.

" Thank you M'Lady." he flashed her another smile then headed back towards Rex.

" No luck. No Togruta has checked in here in the past week." 

Rex raised an eyebrow. " And you figured all that out by..."

" Just a little persuasive tone." Anakin smirked. " I could give you a lesson if you want."

" Uh, no thank you Sir. I'll leave that side of finding out information to you. Let's hope that the others are having better luck than us."
