Anakin groaned as he opened his eyes. He sat up which was a mistake. His head was hurting like crazy along with arms.
" General are you okay?"
Anakin turned around and saw that next to him were cells on each side as well as across. Fives and Jesse were in the one on his left and Kix was to the right.
" Sir, are you alright?" Kix asked again.
Anakin rubbed his head, " Yeah i'm good." he looked around the dark dank prison. " Where are we?" he questioned.
Fives shrugged his shoulders, " No idea. Those clankers knocked us out when we arrived in village, must not have wanted us to know where here is." he concluded.
Anakin suddenly noticed two missing presences.
" Wait, wheres Ahsoka and Rex? Did they get captured?"
The clones gave each other uneasy glances. " They haven't been found yet sir. I assume they escaped, unless they're being held someplace else." Jesse stated.
Anakin remembered the eye contact he made with Ahsoka just as the droids took him away.
" I know she's safe, they didn't find her. She and Rex were deeper in the forest." Anakin assured himself. " Besides Ahsoka has-"
" REX." Fives yelled banging his fist on the metal bars.
Two droids came in lugging Rex along with them. They approached Kix's cell and tossed Rex on the ground then left again.
Anakin clenched his fist at the way the droids handled his captain.
Kix immediately checked over him. " He's still out cold, possibly a minor concussion. Other than that he had some bruising and cuts, but should be fine."
" K-ix?" a voice grumbled. Rex slowly started to come to. He tried to it up, but a sharp pain shot through his back. He grunted when Kix helped to prop him up against the wall.
" Easy there Cap, you took quite a beating." Kix urged him to stop moving.
" Sure, if you call falling out of a tree a beating." Rex mumbled then realization hit him like a tank in the middle of battle, " The Commander! Is she here too?"
Anakin was hoping that Rex knew what happened to his padawan.
" No, shes not here."
Rex let out a sigh of relief, " Good that means those blasted droids didn't get her."
" Is she okay?" Anakin asked concerned for the young teen.
" When I last saw her she was safe. We had made it to a large tree with lots of cover from it's brush. The Commander was higher up so the droids couldn't reach her. I held them off as long as I could while she climbed." he told everyone.
" What happened. How did you get here?" Jesse asked.
" One of the branches wasn't sturdy enough and gave out from under me. I don't remember much after that." Rex kicked himself for not being useful. " I'm sorry General, I shouldn't have left Commander Tano alone."
" It's not your fault Rex. I'm sure you did everything you could." Anakin was thankful to have a captain like Rex. He knew Ahsoka was okay for the meantime thanks to him.
Jesse ran his hand over the cell bars, " So are we gonna escape or what."
" Not so fast Jesse, we don't even know what the Separatist want." Fives pointed out.
" Why does that matter. We need to get out of here as soon as possible."
Out from the shadows a tall figure appeared from the spiral stairwell, " I wouldn't be so eager to leave. Have I not been but a kind host to you?"
A Togrutan woman emerged from the darkness and into the dim lit penitentiary.
All eyes stared at her in shock. Standing before them was a female Togruta with orange skin, familiar yet slightly different facial markings. Her lekku's were half way past her thighs decorated with identical blue stripes to another Togruta they all knew.
" I don't believe it." Anakin gasped.
