How far would you go to NEVER fail again?
This question will push Noche L. Grim to the test as she attempts to join the Cross Military. With their resources she intends to find DeathTech and recover her memories.
However, when she lives on a conti...
Televisions, radios, website, and all forms of media broadcasted Timmy's bomb rocketing high into the air. Upon reaching its apex, right as it began to fall, the bomb exploded with cloud-scattering force. The light emitted from this bomb was so blinding, it could only be compared to a supernova. Aside from Dreg, all others were forced to look away.
"Was that... A flash-bang?" One of the police officers said.
"Flash-bang? Not dramatic enough!" The reporter mumbled, "I need views!"
He made a sharp turn towards the camera.
"DID YOU SEE THAT!" The reporter shouted, "That terrorist tried to destroy city hall with such a terrifying atomic bomb!"
Timmy did not appear to be aware of what the reporter said. His wide eyes were still glued to the sky. He didn't even notice it when Dreg instantaneously appeared in front of him. As Dreg reached his hand towards Timmy's neck, a cane smacked it out of the way.
Slowly turning to face this new person, Dreg was bonked in the face by a cane; his scowl deepened. Both Timmy and Dreg then saw the owner of this cane, the old man from the clocktower. Timmy threw himself between the two.
"WOT ARE YOU DOING?!! Get out of here!"
The old man's lower eyelids rose as his brows furrowed; confusion and concern evident. Before Timmy could even open his mouth, Dreg casually broke his femur with a single kick. Timmy fell down screaming; his wails almost louder than the sirens. The lighthouse-cloaked girl, now free, slowly sat up.
"Dreg... How can you be so needlessly cruel?" She muttered, "I hope I don't have to become like you just to pass the exam and join Cross..."
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Timmy shouted between agonized screams, "LEAVE THE OL MAN ALONE!"
Dreg folded his arms and looked down at Timmy.
"I'm impressed by your ability to tolerate pain, and focus on another." Dreg said, "That will not spare you."
Timmy's entire body shook as he slowly rose, but something gave and he collapsed onto the ground. The old man tossed his cane aside to help Timmy up. From this position, Timmy and the old man were forced to look at each other.
Timmy's face was tight. A deep frown, quivering lips, and furrowed brows. The sorrow and regret of his face was plain as day. Then, his face went white as everything slacked and his eyes opened wide. His eyebrows started to lower as his lower eyelids rose. This expression stayed as his eyes softened and his mouth slightly opened. Then tears streamed down his face.
"I'mnever going to see you again... am I?"
