TRAIN RIDE HOME.

1774, SEPTEMBER 22nd THURSDAY 12:30 pm.

Noche and Dreg arrived at gravel parking lot. Parking the jeep in front of a log-bumper, both of them got out. Light rain continually fell on the nearby pine forest. Around them resided dry rotted telephone poles, an old rusted yellow caution sign, and a short rocky trail that lead up to a train station. The pitter patter of the rain landed peacefully amongst the otherwise silent world. A droplet of rainwater pooled onto a leaf, before the weight cause it to fall down; like its brethren.

"Train will be here soon," Dreg said. "I'm gonna sit down."

Noche's eyes followed Dreg as he went to the nearby wood bench covered in bits of moss and did just that. Noche put the bucket next to Dreg on the bench. As she explored about, Dreg rotated the bucket slightly. There was an overhang at this station. As well as two wooden benches, an ancient street clock with the glass cracked on one side, a black metal trash can that was bolted to the cement, and vending machine with no light. Walking up to the vending machine, she saw a piece of paper taped to the inside of the glass.

Light is gone, but I'm still alive.

Noche frowned at the note. She looked at the card reader... It was broken. Surprisingly, it had a coin slot. Man, using coins as money. What a weird currency of a bygone era. It was kinda too bad, physical money had a certain appeal... But when so many people could use Create to counterfeit, it made sense currency became digital credits.

She continued to walk about; her fingers trailed across the porous crumbling oak on the rotting, wooden handrail. Ahead of her digits was a small puddle, about half the size of her palm, forming from a missing chunk in the wood. Her eyes widened at a tiny green frog sitting in the center of the little pool – unaware of the world around it.

Next she walked over to the station master's office. She checked the door, cause why not. Obviously, it was locked. The nearby window was cracked with a small, triangular, pane of glass missing. Inside the lights were off and the desk was full of cobwebs.

"Not many people use this station, huh?" Noche thought, "Not many people leave the Create Continent... That or everyone's staying home cause of the rainy weather."

Finally bored, Noche walked over to the bench, and sat down. Dreg rotated the bucket, revealing he had seen the face drawn on it. Noche smiled sheepishly as he expressionlessly stared at her.

"You didn't get my good side."

Noche sighed as Dreg, ever so full of lively expressions, slowly threw his head back; with closed eyes aimed straight up towards the overhang

Noche sighed as Dreg, ever so full of lively expressions, slowly threw his head back; with closed eyes aimed straight up towards the overhang. She looked at the damaged clock. She couldn't tell if it was broke or not... She didn't check the time before she wandered about. Noche took out her exam study guide and began to read.
