CHERRIES'S PAST.

1774, SEPTEMBER 24th SATURDAY 9:15am.

Noche and Cherries walked down the hall and to his room. Opening the door, Noche saw a familiar sight, a collage of posters and fabric. The wall behind them was covered in boxes ready to be shipped. On the right wall was various peace signs, posters of people who promoted peace, and fake olive branches hung on thumb tacks.

On the wall before them resided his bed, which contained an above average amount of super fluffy quilted pillows and blankets. Under the bed was questionable magazines of muscular men. On the left wall was an arrangement of sewing equipment. There was a sturdy antique sewing machine, little thimbles, pin cushions, needles, thread, a handmade fabric dummy, stools, measuring tape, and scissors.

Scattered across the entire room was other various knick knacks. Popsicle sticks, glass marbles, wool sweaters, twine string, tiny wood carvings, cardboard sheets, and fabric dolls were neatly organized in a loving way all around the room. Noche's favorite was his little wood ship in a bottle with a glass stone sea. Finally, the most marvelous thing about his room was the ceiling of glow in the dark stars. Enough to almost mimic the night sky.

The moment they both walked in, Noche plopped on Cherries bed and stared up at the stars. Cherries stared at her for a moment before walking over to his sewing machine. He sat down, and with a focus that had a zen-like intensity, he resumed his work. Ten minutes passed before either of them said anything.

"Hey Cherries, what's the wifi password?"

"Dreg is a prude."

Noche, raised her head slightly to look at him.

"Medusa changed it." He said.

"All caps then?"

"Correct."

Noche took out her Aye-phone 11 pro max and began to tap on it. "Man, she was pissed."

"You gonna study?"

"Not like I have anything better to do."

"Varen's unavailable?"

"... It's ok... I needed to study more anyways."

"Whatever floats your boat, study god."

Noche rolled her eyes.

Just a few feet away, Cherries paused his sewing and glanced back at Noche. She was on her phone, probably researching for the exam. As he continued his sewing, the hum of the machine slowly brought him into a trance.

"I can't believe how calm you were when those bastards pulled a gun on you." Noche said.

Cherries chuckled.

"What? Never been at gunpoint before?"

"DUDE! How were you so calm?!"

"Well for starters, I see no reason why they would shoot me... Secondly, Rust was there. So even IF they did want to harm me, I trust that Rust would keep me safe." Cherries said, "But lastly, its because this isn't the first time I've faced death."

"Yeah well, I still think it'd be scary. Being at gunpoint."

Cherries smiled to himself. "You stop fearing those things... When your entire childhood is spent surviving a war."

"What... Do you mean?"

Cherries stopped sewing for a moment. It just occurred to him. Then he turned a bit towards Noche.
