He asked how her meetings had gone earning a smile in return. She figured he didn't really care about her work but appreciated that he had asked. She explained as best as she could, without boring him too much, about each meeting and what she'd hoped to accomplish with them. They'd gone better than she had expected and everything with her father's businesses and real estate developments were going as planned. Happy just nodded loving listening to her speaking. He'd never admit to anyone but she already had him wrapped around her dainty little finger. They talked a little of the construction going on next to Teller-Morrow and what her father hoped to achieve by the little "merger" of sorts with Gemma.
After dinner, she told him to head into the living room while she put away the leftovers. He sat down on her couch and waited for her to join him. After putting away the leftovers, she walked into the living room and sat down at the other end of the couch and turned her body towards him. She loved the sound of his voice and just wanted to listen to him speak. Asking about his childhood took him off guard but he was willing to tell her about his family and himself if that's what she wanted from him. One article had stated something about opening up to the person he was courting so he figured starting there was as good a place as any.
She smiled at him as he started talking about his ma and then his aunt. She wanted to sigh as she leaned against the back of the couch and listened to his deep voice talking to her but she restrained herself. He told her a few of the things he'd told her parents about his mother and aunt and father as he described his childhood and some of the things he'd gone through. It saddened her to know he never had the kind of childhood she'd had with two loving parents. He just shrugged it off and said it was his father's loss for not being in their lives. She loved how devoted and loving he was towards his mother, though. Hearing him speak so highly of her and his aunt spoke volumes about how family-oriented he truly was.
She was shocked to hear he got his first motorcycle at seventeen and that's all he's ever driven since then. Her shocked face made him smile slightly. It was cute to him but he didn't say anything to her. After a little while of him telling her about his childhood, he finally turned the conversation over to her and asked her to tell him about how she grew up. Her face flushed and said she had a pretty normal childhood, all things considered. He still wanted to hear about it so she took a deep breath and began telling him stories. Happy just sat there listening to her speak, eyes drifting over her body every so often, losing himself in her voice.
They lost track of time as they chatted getting to know one another a bit more. When she started yawning, she stated she should probably head to bed. He stood when she stood before she walked him to the door. Looking up at his much taller frame, she told him what a nice time she'd had and she couldn't wait to see him again making him smile. He thanked her for making him dinner and promised he'd take her out on an actual date very soon. She bit her lower lip as he stood there. A minute or so later, he wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer to him then captured her lips with his own. It was a soft, sweet kiss that left her desperate for more. She loved the rough, dominant kisses but these sweet kisses were amazing as well.
He pulled away and told her to make sure to lock her door after he left making her giggle. She pulled him down for one last kiss before he left her condo. She sighed as she shut the door then locked it. He was unlike any other man she'd ever met and loved getting to know him. Waltzing into the dining room, she began cleaning up from dinner before she headed off to bed. She hated leaving a mess around. The dishes were put in the dishwasher, the table was wiped down, then she washed her hands. She'd left her phone in her bedroom as she cooked dinner. Checking it after she changed into her nightshirt, she found her father asking her to head to the construction site to check it out once more and see how everything was going.
He also wanted her to meet with him as he looked over another piece of land he was thinking of buying to develop. She just shook her head as she plugged it in to charge overnight before crawling into bed. Happy headed back to the clubhouse and parked his bike. Seeing all the half-naked, scantily clad crow eaters made his manhood twitch. Going without sex for an undetermined amount of time was going to kill him, he was sure of it. He plopped down at a table and waved the prospect over for a shot of his favorite whiskey. Chibs finally noticed Happy had returned after the crow eater he'd been spending time with that evening had finished going down on him. He put himself away and moved to sit with his brother.
"'ow're ya?" Chibs asked.
Happy just grunted.
"Pursuing that cute little lass yet?" Chibs inquired.
"I'm courting her. Properly." Happy confessed, "Which is...different."
"I see. 'ow're things goin'?" Chibs posed.
"Alright I guess. Can't have sex until marriage. Don't know how this'll go." Happy sighed before slamming back a shot then pouring himself another one.
"Is she worth it?" Chibs inquired.
"She's... (Happy sighed) ..." Happy just looked out into the clubhouse and watched the crow eaters with his brothers, "She's too good for someone like me."
"That's not what I asked, Hap." Chibs stated, "Is this woman worth all the effort you're putting into pursuing her? Is she worth having to be celibate for a long stretch of time?"
Happy sighed again before slamming back another shot.
"She... yes." Happy finally admitted.
"Then you'll be fine. Just remember what you're staying celibate for." Chibs told his friend.
"I've already had dinner with her and her parents. They didn't seem to mind me being in the MC. Seemed very open about things." Happy suddenly blurted out making Chibs look at him.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. Was kind of odd." Happy stated, "But her father gave me permission to court her so that's what I'll be doing."
"Hi Happy. Looking for some company?" A blond crow eater approached the table.
"No. Leave me alone." He huffed making her pout.
"Come on. You haven't been around much lately. I know you must be lonely." She tried purring at the Killah.
"If I have to tell you to leave me alone again, you'll be my next smiley face." He warned making her back away from the table.
"Good for you, Hap. Stay away from the whores. Keep your eyes on your prize." Chibs commented.
After a long, hot shower, Isabella was digging through her closet to find something to wear. She found a tight dress that always looked amazing on her so she slung it over her arm then searched for the right pair of heels to go with it. Once she was dressed, she did a black and gray smokey eye with a red glossy lipstick to round out the look. She curled her hair slightly leaving it in soft curls around her face. Staring at herself in the full-length mirror she smiled. She'd have to send a selfie to Happy since she was sure she wasn't going to get to see him that day. Before she could, her father rang and told her to meet him at Teller-Morrow. She smiled hoping she'd get to see Happy even if it were briefly.
