A few days after Happy and Isabella returned from their honeymoon, Clay called for a lockdown. Happy had to explain what that meant to his new bride. She packed a bag knowing Happy wanted her at the clubhouse with him. She called her father and explained that there was trouble with the club and that the President wanted all club members and their immediate families to stay at the clubhouse until the problem had been solved. She explained that she wouldn't be coming into work although she was available by telephone and email. Michael didn't like that her daughter was in danger because of Happy's club but there was nothing he could do about it.
Isabella called her secretary to let her know she'd be working from home for a few days and to reschedule any meetings she had and to let them know she was available by phone and email if they needed to get ahold of her. Happy was relieved to see her BMW pulling into the parking lot when she arrived. Clay and a few of the other bikers were curious to see how she reacted to being on lockdown since it had been the first time she had been forced to participate. Happy showed her to their dorm room where she could set her bags down. She thanked him as she followed him down the hall and to his room. He promised they'd take care of the threat as quickly as possible and for her to remain calm and relaxed. She smiled up at him and said she had her work to help keep her occupied while she was there.
Clay called church so all the patched members entered the chapel. Seeing Isabella, Gemma waved the younger woman over to her table. She strolled over and sat down with a smile. Most people, although used to going on lockdown by now, weren't as cheery and relaxed as Isabella was for her first lockdown. It made the Queen wonder why. Before Gemma could ask, Isabella's phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Yes, that's correct."
"That was not what was agreed upon."
"That's a breech of contract, Mr. Jennings."
"If you do not meet our standards and the plans, we will be forced to take action."
"I assure you, Mr. Jennings, I am not playing."
"That's what I thought. Have a good day, Sir."
"Well now. What was that all about?" Gemma inquired as she lit up a cigarette.
"One of our contractors didn't want to follow the plans that had been agreed upon for one of my father's properties." Isabella stated, "I had to set him straight."
"I don't think I've ever heard such authority from you before." Gemma stated.
"I can be very authoritative and aggressive when I want to be. Most of the time, thankfully, it doesn't come to that." Isabella replied.
"I see. Has Happy seen this side of you yet?" Gemma questioned making Isabella laugh.
"Yes. Although at that time I was much more aggressive in my negotiations than I just was." She replied, "And yes, he was very surprised at how I can be."
"You are full of surprises." Gemma smirked.
"Hey Gemma. Hey Isabella." Tara said as she sat down with the two women.
Isabella asked what they usually did on lockdown so the two women told her what to expect and how things were typically run. The doors to the chapel opened up and the bikers all filtered out. Those with 'ol ladies headed to speak to them before they headed out. Happy just nodded at his wife making her smile and nod back. Clay kissed Gemma's cheek and said they were heading out to take care of some business and would be back later. Jax wandered over and told his wife they were heading out and would return in a little while. She made him promise to be safe making him smirk and tell her he was always safe.
