"You ok, Doll?" Tig asked as they sat down on the couch.

"I don't even know how he got in." She blurted out.

"How did you know someone was inside?" He inquired.

"Something woke me up. It wasn't Axel. Something didn't feel right so I grabbed my cell and headed into the nursery." She explained, "At first I was afraid I might've been imagining things. Then after I called you, I heard something break. I knew someone was in the condo."

"You did good. You did the right thing calling me." Tig tapped her exposed knee.

He'd never seen her in what she wore to bed. When he came in while the perpetrator was still there, he had other things to do than check her out. Now, he couldn't help but let his eyes wander over her body in the white silk of her night gown. 'Damn. How does Happy let her out of the house?' Tig thought to himself.

"I'm sorry for waking you in the middle of the night." She said.

"Nonsense. It's what I'm here for, Doll." He told her.

"I still feel bad. You should be in bed sleeping." She stated.

"If Happy knew I let something happen to his family, he'd skin me alive. And then put a bullet in my head." Tig patted her knee again, "I told you if you ever needed me, to call. You needed me."

"It's still appreciated." She said as Axel began crying.

"I'll let you tend to little man. Lock the door behind you when I leave." Tig told her.

"Thanks again. I can't express how much it means that you came." She said.

"No problem, Doll. Go tend to your son." He smiled at her before walking to the door.

She quickly locked the door behind him before walking down the hall to the nursery. Axel was kicking his legs and crying so she took him out of the crib and sniffed to see if he needed changing. She sighed as she laid him on the changing table. Once she had him changed, she went to feed him a bottle. He was quick to drink as she rocked them back and forth. She wasn't sure how the night would've ended if she hadn't called Tig. Once again the club came to her rescue and she was grateful for having them. Axel barely finished his bottle before he was out like a light. She gently laid him back in his crib and turned the light off.

It took her a while to go back to sleep. She knew she was going to get odd stares when she went in to work the following day. Then there was visiting Happy that Saturday. Surely he'd notice what her face would like even then. She sighed as she stared up at the ceiling. There was no telling what Tig did to the intruder. Strangle him. Suffocate him. The possibilities were endless. He didn't go far so surely the intruder was still in the area. Isabella finally fell into a fitful sleep rehashing that night's events.

Just as she thought, everyone wanted to know what happened to her when she went into the office the next day. With a sigh, she explained about the break in, the intruder attacking her, and that she was fine. Most people accepted her explanation before she made her way into her office. She wasn't wanting to face her father at the moment in her current state. There was lots of work she had to do that day and she wanted to get on it without dragging on about the intrusion. Her assistant brought her lunch mid-day earning a thanks in response. Isabella ate her lunch in her office instead of going out with some of the office staff like she did on many occasions. She didn't want to be seen much in her state.

When Saturday rolled around a few days later, she dropped Axel off with Gemma who wanted to know what happened. She explained everything to the Queen who just pulled her into a hug before taking the car seat with the sleeping baby and the diaper bag. The whole ride to Stockton, Isabella was trying to figure out how to tell her husband what had happened. There was no hiding the fact that something had happened. She'd needed stitches at her temple, her lip was still split although healing pretty well, and she still had a bruise on her cheek from where he'd hit her the last time. She sighed as she sat down to await her husband.

When Happy was brought out to talk to his wife, he looked at her and growled. The guard kept an extra close eye on him as he sat down and picked up the phone. She shakily took the phone and stared at her husband's chest.

"What the fuck happened to you?" Happy demanded.

"A few nights ago, an intruder broke in. I called Tig as soon as I realized someone was in the condo. He wanted money and jewelry but I refused to give him anything and the guy got violent." She explained.

"What's the bandage for?" Happy asked.

"He hit me so hard I needed some stitches." She replied making her husband growl into the phone, "I'm fine."

"You are not fine." He hissed, "You needed stitches, you're bruised, and you have a split lip. That is not fine. What did Tig do?"

"He took him out of the condo. That's all I know. After the police and ambulance left, he came back to the condo to check back up with me." She said.

"Are you ok?" Happy softened his voice.

"It took me a while to get back to sleep that night. Luckily Axel never woke up during the attack. I don't even know how he broke in. (She sighed)" She told him.

"That's not really what I asked." He stated.

"I'm doing better. I've always kept the door locked. That hasn't changed." She told him.

"Talk to Tig and see if he can get a security system hooked up." Happy commanded her.

"Ok. How have you been? Staying safe?" She asked.

"No unnecessary fights. No shankings." He told her, "How's my son doing?"

"Great! He's such a happy baby." She smiled at her husband making him smile back at her.

"I miss you both." Happy quietly stated.

"We miss you too." She replied.

"These last eight months feel like forever. All I can think about is holding you in my arms again. Of holding my son for the first time." Happy confessed.

"I understand. I think about that a lot too." She said.

The rest of their time together was spenttalking about how her work was going, more about the baby, and the girls dayout Tara was planning. Isabella didn't hang around the shop like Lyla did. Sheonly went when she needed something such as dropping Axel off for Gemma tobabysit while she visited her husband. Happy just wanted her to talk. Six daysout of seven he didn't get to hear her voice. Saturday's he was blessed to seeand hear his woman and he liked making the most of it. She loved the look hewas giving her as she babbled on about her work. It made her insides all flutterylike when they were dating. Before she knew it, their time was up and had tosay goodbye.
