Isabella was walking a bit funny the next day when she went in to work but she didn't care. She reassured everyone she was fine and that it was simply because she and her husband had gotten a little amorous the previous evening. Her secretary blushed at her confession making Isabella smirk before taking her messages and heading into her office. There were several emails she needed to respond to, several meetings she had scheduled for that day, and her father was planning another business trip out to New York to check on the property he was developing out there. He wanted her to make the reservations for them, as she was expected to go again, so that was something else on her to-do list for the day.
She hated leaving town, even for a few days, since her husband had just been released from a month-long stint in the county jail but business was business. Just as his club business came first, so did her job come first for her. It might seem odd to some but she loved her job as much as he loved his club. He told her early on in their relationship that the club came first and that sometimes he wouldn't be there when she wanted him to be. He was usually called upon to head up to Tacoma when Clay had business with SAMTAC since he'd been pathed in with them for several years.
She just nodded as he explained how things would go with the club. They also did runs which sometimes took them away from home for days to a week. With a reassuring smile, she told him it was no problem because her job came first for her as well. She did have to make business trips for her father and that took her away from home for a few days to a week at a time. If he could handle that then things would be fine. He agreed knowing he was asking the same thing of her. It was difficult to be away from your loved one but they knew it would happen at some point. She'd already had to take a business trip with her father once since she and Happy got together.
Mid-morning, several motorcycles were heard pulling into T-M. Happy looked up from the car he was working on and smiled seeing his Tacoma brothers. Kozik grinned seeing the Killah since they hadn't seen each other in over a year. Donut, Bowie, and Tiny walk over to hug their brother as Jax and Bobby walk over. Tig hugged his brothers, except Kozik, and asked what they were doing there. Donut explained the situation they had up in Tacoma and asked to speak with Clay. The biker leader was in the chapel on the phone. Once he was done with his phone call, Bobby promised to take them to him. Happy wanted to introduce his wife to his other brothers so he sent her a text.
Happy: can you come by the shop during your lunch break? There's some people I want you to meet.
Seeing his text made her curious. Although she really needed to stay and have lunch in her office so she could continue working, she decided to head over to Teller-Morrow and see her husband.
Isabella: of course. I'll see you then 😙🤗
He smiled slightly seeing her reply. He couldn't wait to see what his brothers would think of his wife or the fact that he'd actually taken an 'ol lady and gotten officially married. Everyone knew he had never been the type to settle down. Especially with a woman like her. Love transcends boundaries and there they were happily married. He went back to working on the car while he waited for his wife to show up with lunch. He knew she'd bring him lunch since she was coming during her lunch break. She always made sure they ate together when she dropped by like this.
Donut made a joke about who was driving the Beemer when Isabella arrived. They watched as a young woman exited the vehicle with a brown paper bag and two soda cups. "Who's she here to see?" Donut asked making Tig laugh and reply "You'll see!" They looked her up and down and commented on how uppity she seemed to be. She set the cups and bag down on the picnic table next to the clubhouse as the bikers began to walk over. Chibs greeted her cordially as she waited for her husband.
"Who's this?" Tiny inquired.
"This is Isabella. My wife." Happy replied when he came to a stop next to her.
"What?!" Kozik exclaimed making her laugh.
She showed them her wrist with a wide, friendly smile.
"Happy Lowman with an 'ol lady? Never thought I'd see the day!" Donut exclaimed making her laugh again as Happy dug in the bag for his food.
"Sometimes opposites attract." She stated making Tig laugh, "So. Are you going to make me guess who these gentlemen are or are you going to introduce them?"
"Damn." Tiny stated.
"That's Donut. The blond is Kozik. That's Tiny and that guy over there is Bowie." Happy introduced her to everyone.
"It's nice to meet you all." She politely stated before sitting down next to Happy to have lunch.
"The pleasure is all ours. How long have you two been together?" Bowie inquired.
"About two years before we married." Happy grunted.
Chibs and Tig steered the conversation away from Happy and his relationship with Isabella much to the Killah's relief. Isabella thought everyone's reactions to them were rather funny. The pair ate in silence as the rest talked about what was going on with SAMTAC. Happy didn't want his 'ol lady hearing their business but knew she'd remain quiet about anything she heard. Clay finally left the chapel and was surprised to see the four SAMTAC members there. Donut wanted to talk about what was going on so the biker leader asked him to follow him back into the chapel.
Tig watched Isabella closely to see how she reacted to what they were talking about. She seemed to either be taking it all in or was off in her own little world not paying attention to them. After she finished eating, she leaned over and kissed Happy's cheek. "I'll see you at home." she stated before taking her cup and standing up. He swatted her butt as she turned around making her smile and shake her head as she began to walk back out to her car. Happy watched her leave the lot in silence. Kozik still couldn't believe Happy, of all people, had taken an 'ol lady.
"They 'ad a beautiful weddin'. We rode down t' Texas where she wanted t' 'ave it. 'ad some issues with a few o' 'er family members but most were friendly enough towards us." Chibs explained when Bowie asked about them getting married.
"I still can't believe the Tacoma Killah actually has an 'ol lady." Kozik shook his head.
"Takes a good woman, huh Happy?" Tig teased with a smirk.
"Leave 'im alone!" Chibs huffed as Happy grunted something incoherent before getting up and heading back to his workstation.
