She was excited to see where Happy was taking her the following day. It was usually something exciting that she'd never done before or hadn't had the courage to do by herself before. Before he'd left her house the previous evening, he told her to dress casual and when he'd pick her up. It would be the first time she'd been on his bike since she had admitted she was a bit scared and intimidated about it. He was picking her up later than he usually did for their Saturday dates but he had everything planned out. She was looking herself over in the mirror shortly before he was set to arrive to make sure she looked presentable.
Soon there came a knock at her door. Opening it up, she found Happy standing there smiling at her. "You look really cute." he complimented her as she left the condo earning a smile and a quiet "Thank you!" in return. They walked down to his bike where he climbed on first. She watched as he held out an extra helmet. With a slightly shaky hand, she took it and placed it on her head, strapping it on. He explained to her how to get onto his bike earning a head nod in response. She did as he told her to, including leaning on him as leverage, and was thrilled that she'd actually climbed onto the machine without falling off.
"Ready for your first motorcycle ride?" He inquired, voice tinted with humor.
"As ready as I'll ever be!" She shot back before he told her to wrap her arms around his waist and to hang on tightly.
She squeaked when the bike roared to life not quite expecting the rumble beneath her. Happy smiled as he backed out of the parking space. Isabella closed her eyes as he maneuvered them through town and to the highway. She finally opened her eyes and sucked in a breath. They were going fast down the highway and it amazed her how he could keep the bike upright with them both on it. She was scared for a while but trusted that he'd keep her safe. Suddenly she realized the wind was blowing through her hair, the sun was shining down on them, and the rumble of the bike beneath her seemed to keep in time with her heart beat. She squeezed his middle bringing a smile to his face.
They drove for hours before he turned them around and headed back towards Charming. It had been quite the experience and she knew her mother would love to know all about it. She was quite open with her parents and happily told them all about the wild things Happy took her to do on their dates. Instead of taking her home, Happy turned off the main road onto a side street. A little while later, he turned off that road onto what she thought might be a driveway. It was a long road, much longer than most driveways, so she was curious as to where he was taking her. Suddenly he came to a stop, put the kickstand down, and told her to climb off first.
She did as she was told before looking at the house before her. She was curious as to what they were doing there and whose house it was. Following him to the front door, she didn't notice him taking keys out of his pocket and opening up the door. He gave her the grand tour of the home making her gasp slightly. He'd brought her to his home! She didn't even know he had a home of his own. He'd told her he usually stayed at the clubhouse. It made her wonder why since his house was so beautiful, tastefully decorated, and clean!
