Gemma followed Happy back to his dorm where he kept the ring box in a drawer. Opening it up, Gemma just smiled and told him Isabella was going to love it. He thanked her for her help making her shake her head. "Is she going to get inked?" Gemma inquired making him sigh. He told her he would have to talk to Isabella about it first but that he wanted to. Gemma just nodded before leaving Happy's room. He put the box away then left and locked his room. Saturday couldn't come quick enough for the Killah.

When it rolled around, he was even more distracted than he had been. Gemma had left the office early to head home for an errand. She was putting together a picnic basket for Happy so he could take Isabella out wherever they were going. He clocked out, headed to his dorm room to get a quick shower, grabbed the ring box and stuck it in the inside pocket of his kutte, then left the clubhouse. His brothers wondered where he was going but knew better than to ask him about it. Happy's first stop was at Gemma's house to pick up the picnic basket. She smiled at him as she handed it over and told him "Good luck."

After securing the basket to his saddlebag, he took off to Isabella's condo. He parked his bike then walked up to her door. She opened it with a smile then told him she was almost ready. He waited by the door as she grabbed her purse then slipped into her shoes. Once she was ready, she locked the door then followed him down to his bike. She had no idea what he was planning but couldn't help but notice the picnic basket. It made her curious but she'd learned better than asking questions.

They drove out of town out towards Modesto. It was an unusual direction and her interested was piqued at just where he was taking her. He knew of a secluded lake that had a park near it that he thought would be the perfect setting for what he wanted to do. When they pulled off the main road, her heart began to beat faster in anticipation of their activities for that afternoon. He always made their Saturday dates exciting. She was surprised when he parked. There was a nice park near a beautiful lake and not a soul was there besides them. She climbed off the bike, set her helmet on the seat, and waited for him to grab the picnic basket and the blanket she didn't realize was in his saddlebag.

He grabbed her hand and led her into the park. They walked until he'd found a shady spot near the lake underneath a huge oak tree. He set the basket down then spread the blanket down for them to sit on. She got comfortable and watched him. This was unlike him and she wondered what was going on. He opened the basket and took out a bottle of wine and two wine glasses. Happy had to inwardly smile to himself. Gemma definitely knew what she was doing! Isabella thanked him as he poured them both a glass of wine. She watched silently as he set out the other items without a word.

"What are we doing here?" She finally questioned.

"I thought this would be a nice outing. It's serene. Quiet." He told her earning a head nod in response.

"It is beautiful here." She commented as she looked around making him smile inwardly.

"I'm glad you like it." He quietly stated.

The pair slipped into silence as they ate lunch together and looked out over the still lake. A slight breeze began blowing. Happy sat there trying to get the courage up and get the rights words to come together to propose. There was nothing he feared, not really, but he was very anxious about asking this question. It was the goal of courtship after all. Isabella could sense there was something going on and was about to ask him about it when he grabbed for her hand.

"Isabella, you know I'm not really the "talk about my feelings" type. I have a hard time expressing how I feel." He started out making her stare at him silently.

She watched as he pulled a black velvet box out of his kutte. Her hands flew to her mouth as she watched him closely.

"I can't express what you mean to me, Isabella. I can't promise this magical romantic life. I can't promise I'll tell you I love you all the time. Actions speak louder than words to me. I can't even promise that life will be easy with me and the club. There's going to come a time when we have to go on lockdown and I expect you to be there with me.

I can promise you that I'll take care of you to the best of my abilities. I'll love you in the only way I know how. If you think you can handle me and my lifestyle for the rest of your life, would you marry me?" Happy sat there with his hands shaking and holding open the ring box.

"Oh my God, Happy!" She eyed the heart shaped ring.

"Please say yes." He nearly whispered.

"YES! Yes, I'llmarry you!" She all but shouted making him sigh with relief.

He took the ring out of its box and effortlessly slid it onto her left ring finger. She slid her arms around his neck fighting tears as she did. He felt relieved. The anxiousness of popping the question had vanished. He had done it and she had said yes. Now it was telling her folks and then eventually taking her back to visit his mother. He wasn't sure how to tell his brothers he'd actually asked her to marry him. Not just be his 'ol lady but to actually be his wife as well. She leaned her head against his shoulder as they sat there together silently. Her mind was racing in how to tell her parents and what she wanted her wedding to look like.

"We need to tell my parents soon." She suddenly stated, "Think we can do it tomorrow night?"

"Anything you want." He quietly replied.

"Happy? (He grunted) Can we get married in Texas? All my family are from there and some will have a hard time getting out to California." She asked.

"We'll marry wherever you want to, babe." He told her remembering the conversation he'd had with her father.

"Thank you!" She excitedly stated.

"What are you thinking for the wedding?" He asked.

She sighed happily, "I'll have to talk to mom. (She giggled) I'll pick up some bridal magazines to start getting some ideas though."

"You know the MC is gonna wear their leathers to the wedding, right?" He asked making her chuckle slightly.

"That's ok. The rest of my family has a problem with it, they can leave." She told him making him lean over and kiss her forehead.

"You're amazing." He quietly stated.

"When are you going to tell your mother?" She asked.

"I already told her of my plans to ask you. She wants me to bring you around to show off your engagement ring." He confessed.

"Ok. Let me know so I can do some baking beforehand." Isabella told him.
