"The trip itself was fine. We figured out why things weren't going as planned and got the kinks smoothed out." Isabella told him.

"But?" Happy asked as he looked over at her face, "What the fuck happened to you?"

She flinched slightly making Tig raise his eyebrow.

"My father and I were mugged as we were coming back from a restaurant the first night we were there. Took our credit cards, money, watches, rings. I didn't want to give over my wedding ring so he punched me. My dad tried to keep me from harm and got injured too. Yes, we filed a police report. The paramedics looked us over and tended to us before letting us go. And yes, I've already called the bank about my cards being stolen." She explained making him growl.

"No one touches you." He stated.

"Sweetheart, what's done is done. The police have our statements. He was wearing a ski mask so we never even got a good look at the guy." Isabella tried to calm her irate husband down.

Tig watched in fascination as his angry brother began to calm down some.

"Still. No one should ever touch you like that. You should have called me." Happy exclaimed.

"What would that have done? You were in Tacoma on business. All it would have done was distract you. You didn't need that." She countered earning a head nod from Tig.

Happy grunted not wanting to admit she was right.

"You still should have told me. I have the right to know about the well-being of my 'ol lady." Happy stated.

"Next time I'll tell you right away." She conceded, "But don't blame me for your actions if I have to tell you something like this."

Tig couldn't help but laugh. Only Happy's 'ol lady could get away with sassing him the way Isabella was at that moment. Happy glared at Tig who just smirked back.

"So, how are you? Everything go ok while you were in Tacoma?" She questioned.

"Things went great. None of us were injured and we got rid of the threat." Happy explained without going into details.

"That's great." She responded.

"Isabella? Why were you limping when you came in?" Tig suddenly asked making her sigh and Happy growl as he looked over at his wife.

"We were doing an inspection of the construction site where he's developing some new condos. I'm usually much more graceful than this but somehow I twisted my ankle. It's still slightly swollen and tender but it's much better than it was." Isabella explained.

"You sure that's it?" Happy asked.

She gasped as she looked over at Happy who was staring at her.

"Do you really think I'd lie to you?" Her eyes widened.

He sighed as Tig looked between the pair silently.

"I know you'd never lie to me. I just know that you're used to wearing heels. Twisting your ankle seems out of the ordinary for you." Happy tried to explain, "I worry about your well-being, you know."

She smiled as she reached over to place her hand on his forearm, "I know, sweetie. But I assure you all I did was trip and twist my ankle. Construction sites are pretty dangerous especially when you're wearing heels."

A few weeks later, Isabella was in her office looking over mail she'd received. Unbeknownst to her, a recently fired employee had come into the office with an AK-47. He began shooting at random people. Hearing the screams, Isabella exited her office to see what was going on. Her eyes landed on the employee and the gun he was handling, screamed, and ran back to her office. She slammed the door shut, locked it, and ran to hide under her desk. He'd seen her and knew she was the owner's daughter. He quickly followed to her office where he kicked the door in.

He found her cowering under her desk and fired hitting her in the chest. Thinking he'd killed her, he left her office to go find her father. Isabella shakily climbed out from under her desk to grab her cell phone. Her hands were still shaking as she dialed 9-1-1. Explaining what she saw, what had happened, and what was still going on, the 9-1-1 operator told her to stay on the line and that help was on the way. Isabella was terrified and thought she was about to die. When she had to cough, she coughed up blood making her eyes widen. Before she could send a text to her husband, she passed out.

Chief Unser, Deputy Chief Hale, and several other officers entered the building with their guns drawn. There were no sounds of gunfire as they entered the floor where Michael's company was based off of. There were bloody bodies littered around the waiting area. The receptionist was cowering under her desk so one officer helped her up and noted she'd been shot in the arm. He took her statement as the rest of the police walked further into the suite to see if there were any survivors. Hale called for an ambulance and the coroner's van as they slowly made their way through the office.

Chief Unser found Isabella and called for the paramedics. She was barely breathing and her pulse was weak when he checked on her. Deputy Chief Hale finally made his way to Michael's office and found him shot in his upper chest three times in his chair. Miraculously, he was still breathing although he'd passed out. Hale called for the paramedics to come tend to him. One officer was taking photos of the crime scene so they knew where everyone was in the after math of the shooting. The paramedics quickly took Isabella and Michael in two separate ambulances to St. Thomas for treatment.

The receptionist had been looked over by the paramedics and transported to the hospital with Isabella. When they arrived at the hospital, Isabella was immediately transported to the OR to retrieve the bullet in her chest and to repair any damage that had been done. She was fighting for her life and struggling to hang on. Michael arrived minutes after his daughter at the hospital and he, too, was immediately brought to the OR. Chief Unser called Michael's wife to let her know what had happened when he learned of who Michael and Isabella were.

Knowing the Sons would want to know about the shooting, he made his way to Teller-Morrow to let the bikers know. Seeing Unser pull up in the lot made Clay curious as to what was going on. They met half-way in the parking lot. The biker leader asked what the Chief was doing there making Unser rub the back of his neck. He explained that there had been a shooting. Clay didn't understand what it had to do with the Sons. Unser wasn't sure how to tell Happy about his wife.

"Chief...what does this have to do with us?" Clay exasperated asked.

"One of the shooting victims was named Isabella Lowman. The shooting happened at her work. Several people were killed. The owner of the company was also shot. He's in surgery now along with her." Unser explained.

"Isabella. Happy's wife?" Clay asked.

"Yeah."

"He's out on some club business right now. I need his head in the game and not worrying about her. Leave this to me." Clay told the Chief of police.

"If you're sure." Unser stated earning a head nod from Clay.

Tara was on call when Isabella and Michael were brought in. She gasped when she saw Isabella being brought into surgery and insisted on helping. The on-call surgeon allowed Tara to help so she quickly scrubbed up and prepared for surgery. The surgery took over an hour to complete with the surgeon removing all the bullet fragments and repairing the damage to the tissues. Isabella had gone through the surgery with no incidents to Tara's relief. She wasn't thrilled with the idea of telling Happy his wife had been shot and had needed surgery to repair the damage. Once the surgery was complete and she'd been stitched up, she was moved to a recovery room for an hour before being moved to her permanent room where she'd be staying for the next week as she recovered.

Michael's surgery took roughly two hours to complete since he'd been shot three times. The surgeon wanted to make sure he'd retrieved all the fragments before repairing the tissue damage and stitching him up. He was finally moved to his recovery room so the doctors could keep an eye on him before moving him to his permanent room. Kay was pacing the family waiting room impatiently waiting to hear about her husband and daughter. She had been terrified when the police called her and let her know what had happened.

A/N: How do you think Happy is going to react to the news of his wife's shooting? Will the Sons do anything to find out who attacked her and her office?
