Having told her parents of the pregnancy and Happy already knowing took the tension away. The rest of dinner was spent talking about how she was planning on decorating the nursery, how she was feeling, and of her mother giving her advice for during the pregnancy. Isabella was thankful her parents seemed to be coming around to the idea of being grandparents. Kay asked if her friends knew yet making Isabella shake her head and reply she wanted to tell happy and them first before letting anyone else know.

The small family sat around the living room after dinner having desert and discussing Isabella working while she was pregnant. Her father was insistent she take off the remaining few weeks of her pregnancy so she could make sure her condo was ready for the new arrival and that she was prepared for having an infant. Isabella smiled at her father and thanked him for giving her the maternity leave. When she began to yawn, she told her parents she was heading home. Hugging them both, she finally left their house and made her way out to her car.

The condo felt empty as it usually did these days since her husband was behind bars. She sighed as she made her way through the condo to her bedroom. After changing for bed, she got settled and tried to go to sleep. Her thoughts were on Happy and when he'd get out. Not only would he have her to greet him, he would have their child as well. She hoped he could hold on long enough to get out and see his family again. As she drifted off to sleep, she absent-mindedly began rubbing her still-flat stomach.

One day after work she stopped by T-M. Seeing Isabella's car pulling into the lot made Tig stop what he was doing and walk over to where she was climbing out of her car. As she usually did, she flashed him a warm smile as he approached. He greeted her and asked if there was anything she was having trouble with or if she needed anything. She promised she was fine and that she had only stopped by to tell Gemma she was pregnant figuring the Queen would want to know. He laughed, eyes twinkling, and told her Gemma would indeed like to know.

"Hey baby. What are you doing here?" Gemma asked as she came out of her office.

"Well, I came by to let you know that Happy is going to be a daddy." Isabella smiled.

"Holy shit. Does he know?" Gemma hugged the younger woman.

"I told him last week. Just got around to telling my parents this past Sunday. Figured Happy would want you guys to know so you can smother me." She laughed.

"It's only because he cares, sweetheart. Congratulations! How far along?" Gemma asked.

"About seven to seven and a half weeks." Isabella replied.

"Morning sickness?"

"Oh yeah. I'm sure it's going to kill him soon." Isabella shook her head.

"If you need anything, you let me know." Gemma told her.

"I will." Isabella promised, "Well, I should be getting home."

"Drive safe." Gemma told her making Isabella promise she would.

Gemma and Tig stood together as Isabella left the lot to head home in silence. That was a life twist Gemma wasn't expecting.

"I can't believe it. The Tacoma Killah with a baby." Gemma shook her head.

"He's going to be even more out there now that he's got not only an 'ol lady but a child to protect." Tig laughed.

"I guess that's why he asked for someone to check in on her more often." Gemma stated.

"Yeah." Tig wrapped his arm around Gemma's shoulder, "But after what's happened to her already, it's really no surprise even if she wasn't pregnant."

Isabella did not miss a single visitor's day at the prison. Happy always asked her how she was doing and if she needed anything. She asked how he had been that week. After a while, he began to tell her honestly what had gone on. Whatever fights happened, whatever threats were made over food or other things, whether nothing at all happened. She wanted his honesty about his stay he figured and keeping things from her only made her distrustful of him and he didn't want that. As the weeks rolled on, he noted how she began to glow. It made his heart catch in his throat every time he saw her.

The only constant in his life was knowing Isabella would be at the prison every Saturday to see him. He could tell over the months that her breasts were enlarging. Her belly began to become more pronounced. He was desperate to touch her, to run his hands over her belly. Quietly he told her how beautiful she was and that the pregnancy glow suited her. He watched as her face flushed at the compliment and her hand go straight to her belly. She looked up to see pure love and longing in his dark eyes and it made her ache for him all the more.

Happy counted down the days until his release. He wanted to hold his wife in his arms again. He wanted to rub her expanding belly. He wanted to hold his child in his arms for the first time. He wanted to ride his Harley again. Although being in a prison was much better than being in a county lock-up, he still yearned for his freedom. This was the first time he'd been locked up with an 'ol lady. Getting out was a much bigger deal now than it had ever been before. There was a lot more waiting for him on the outside than just his freedom.

She'd finally purchased the baby nursery furniture and had Tig and Opie and the two prospects put it all together and move it to where she wanted it in the nursery for her. Happy nodded his head in approval as she told him about the experience. As she had done when they'd painted the walls for her, she made them a hearty meal for their hard work. He made a mental note to thank his brothers for helping his 'ol lady with the work she couldn't do by herself. Hearing that she'd made them a meal as payment for their hard work didn't surprise Happy. She was a very generous, kind woman. It was one of the many attributes that made him love her so much.

Isabella started buying some gender-neutral baby clothes, diapers, bottles & nipples, burp rags, and formula and stocking the nursery. There was a small bookcase in the room and she had quite a few books there for her to read to her child when needed. She didn't have all the big items like a car seat or playpen yet but her mother told her to hold off on buying those big items and see if she got them at her baby shower. Isabella wasn't sure who'd be throwing her this shower but she wasn't going to say anything. She was going off a check list she'd found in a book she had purchased about being ready for your first child and was trying to make sure she had everything on the list.

She took brisk walks around her condominium for exercise and did stretching exercises in her condo that were made specifically for pregnant women. Despite giving in to the food cravings, she tried to keep her body in good shape throughout the pregnancy. Each month, she took a selfie showing off her belly so Happy could see the changes her body went through carrying his child even though she visited him each week at the prison. There were a few Saturdays that no one was allowed visitation because the prison had gone on lock-down which always made her sad.
