Before any questions could be asked, Kay was calling the two men to dinner. Happy sighed with relief, thankful for the distraction from his kutte. He had debated with himself about taking it off before knocking on their door but figured he should be up-front about his involvement with the MC so it didn't seem like he was hiding anything. He wanted this to go well. Kay thanked him for the bottle of wine he'd brought and poured herself, Isabella, and Michael a glass. Happy politely declined when offered. Michael sliced the delicious smelling pork roast his wife had made for everyone while Kay handed around a basket of rolls. He took the basket from Isabella and smiled at her.

"So, I see you're apart of the local motorcycle club." Kay stated.

"Yes, Ma'am." Happy replied as he took the platter of roast to get himself some.

"That must be exciting. I mean, I've heard rumors about you guys but we try very hard not to judge without getting facts first." Kay chuckled.

"To be honest, it can get rather... (He paused to think of the appropriate wording) ...wild. Mostly we're Harley enthusiasts and do charity runs quite a bit." He tried to explain without telling them anything of importance.

"Oh ok. I imagine the single fellas love hanging out at your clubhouse. I understand a lot of the single women of the town hang out there as well. If what I was told is right." Kay handed the platter of roasted veggies to her husband.

"Well, yeah. We usually have some pretty wild parties on Friday and Saturday nights. Most of the women who hang around the clubhouse are only there to try and snag a biker as a husband." Happy stated, chuckling at the end, "A lot of my brothers are over that kind of lifestyle and want a stable relationship and home life."

"Oh my." Kay's eyes widened.

"We're no angels, Kay. Gemma usually asks us to do runs for whatever charity event she's planned and we go because we like giving back and helping our community." Happy told the small family.

"So what sort of activities do you think you'll take my daughter to on outings?" Michael questioned him.

It took the Killah off guard. For a moment or two his mind drew a blank.

"Well, regular dates to start out with I suppose. Dinner and a movie. Picnic at the park. I'd love to take her out on my bike for a long ride one afternoon." Happy confessed.

"I see. What other things might you two do?" Michael pressed.

"I'd love to take her to do things she's never done before or might not have thought about doing. Paintballing. Bungee jumping. Skydiving." Happy stated making Isabella's eyes light up.

"Sounds exciting!" Kay smiled making Happy sigh with relief that they seemed to approve of his date choices.

"How does your mother like you being in this club?" Kay inquired.

"She actually doesn't mind it. Some of the guys have gone with me to visit and she enjoys their company." Happy smiled.

"That's so nice to hear." Michael stated, "What's your relationship like with your mother?"

"She raised me by herself. Well, with my aunt, her sister. My dad walked out on us when she was still pregnant with me. There's nothing I won't do for my ma." Happy told the trio.

"I'm sorry to hear you had to grow up that way." Kay gave him a sad smile.

"It's ok. Ma did the best she could and I can't say I had a bad childhood, really." Happy smiled.

"I would love to meet your mother at some point." Kay stated making Happy nearly choke on his food.

"Yes, Ma'am. I'm sure she'd love to meet you folks too." Happy finally replied.
