Old time road by Lil Nas X

Aiden's pov

Mum forced I and Mary to go to the boutique because of Liam's wedding which I didn't want to do. I had exams the following day but she wasn't listening to me.

" What are we doing here? I thought mum said salon?" Mary asked me as she walked into the building. I gave her a look and walked away from her.

" Grandma, the salon. This is not a salon." She frowned and ran to my mum.

" I know. We would go there later, darling. I want the perfect clothes for your Uncle's wedding and both of you will get it for me. I can also get a gift for him here." Mum replied, looking around.

" Can we be quick? I have work to do." I raised my hand to get their attention.

" It is your brother's wedding, at least do this for him." She frowned.

" Yeah, I am doing it for him. I am here, mum. I have an exam tomorrow. Can we just do this next week?" I asked with my arms folded.

" Since when did that begin? Caring do much about an examination." Mary raised an eyebrow.

" He is just looking for an excuse, that is all." Mum rolled her eyes and dragged my hand.

" We will be fine here. All you have to do is pick the perfect clothe for your brother's wedding, that is all." She said and smiled.

" Then we will be quick about this." I whispered which made Mary scoff.

" What was that?" I asked her as mum pointed to something.

" What was what? Where are you rushing to?" She eyed me and smiled at mum.

It was not too long before mum got visitors in the boutique. They all surrounded her and were asking for pictures.

" Nowhere." I rolled my eyes and waved at someone who screamed my name.

" This is one reason why I don't like going out without my car." I whispered as Mary chuckled.

" Granny said we will be fine." She said and held my hand.

" Let us just pick something and get out of here." I whispered to mum who was smiling In front of someone. She turned around to look at me.

" Pick what you feel is best." She said and turned back to the person she was talking to.

" We have to do it ourselves." I said to Mary who just turned her head and pointed to a section. We quickly walked towards that direction before anybody could notice us and call us.

" Sunglasses? I don't think Uncle Liam likes sunglasses. I should get it for Uncle Harry." She said and picked a sunglasses.

" Like Harry deserves anything. When was the last time he called?" I frowned as she tapped my leg.

" He is still my uncle, I will not forget him." She smiled and picked something else.

" Just tell me when you are done. I need to sit." I said, walking to a chair.

" No! Granny said both of us, don't sit." She complained like a child.

" I trust you to do it alone. Now go." I deadpanned and sat down.

" You will pick from afar. Is that better?" She said which I nodded to.

She ran around the boutique, sliding on the tiles and throwing clothes into the basket. I laughed and stared at her.

" You were told to select, not to be childish." I said loud enough for her to hear. She laughed and dashed into a place I could not see her.

I waited for a while, trying to scan the environment but there were no signs of her. I stared at my watch, she was gone for ten minutes already.
