Aiden's pov

" She was talking too much so I had to shut her up." I said to Wesley who looked like he was going to eat me up anytime soon. He saw everything that happened and had been freaking out since then. He kept claiming what if the stalker was around. He would have made things harder for Ariana.

" Aiden, hear yourself. Do we have time for your crazy love plays."

" It is not yours." I frowned and took a shirt.

" I am done with you." He frowned.

" You were done with me a long time ago." I smiled.

" Unbelievable. I got news anyway." He said sitting on my bed.

" What is it this time? About Mr. Bauer?" I pulled my hair to the back.

" Yes. In that briefcase were very important documents."

" What sort of documents?" I turned to him.

" Accounts of the company and important codes. Only trusted people can have those documents to prevent fraud."

" Then, they should change the code."

" Will they just go and say they wanna change a code without proof of ownership? Everything was in there."

" What did they find?"

" Nothing, the thieves were all in black masks. They knocked him out." He said which made me sigh.

" They must have been watching him."

" Yeah and Liam is not taking it lightly. He expects you to also do something. Reins is a part of your father's company too."

" What do you want me to do? Go after thieves?"

" Help in the investigation."

" You are the only one I can trust for that so do it. It is an order as your boss."

" You are not my boss, your dad is."

" Whatever, just help me." I shouted walking out of my room.

" Where do you think you are going?" Mum asked me with a frown on her face. Renee was sitting beside her with books scattered all over the table.

" Going out to wherever I want to. Do you have a problem with it?" I said picking an apple from a tray on the table.

" What is with the papers and books everywhere?" I asked Renee who just kept writing and calculating.

" What I have to go through for loosing the company's account. Dad believes someone in the office must have known and tried to embezzle. Maybe that was how those thieves knew how important that briefcase was. Liam told him to carry it everywhere. He tried." Renee said without taking her eyes off the papers.

I kept forgetting she was an accountant.

" Well, good luck with that." I said and walked towards the door.

" How do you feel right walking out on your own family." I heard mum's angry tone.

I turned around with a frown.

" Meaning?"

" Your family is in crisis and you go out freely taking girls around. What type of a child are you?" She almost shouted.

" Mum, calm down. It is not a big deal and I don't think Aiden takes girls around." Renee protected me.

" How do you expect me to calm down. Your dad is freaking out." She shouted made me scoff.
