Ariana's pov
" I am sorry. It won't happen again." I apologised to Mrs. Henderson.
After some days of not going to school, I came for just one day and I missed another day. The level at which I was missing classes was getting high.
" Your exams are around the corner. Isn't it this week? " She asked me as I stared at her with wide eyes.
" This week? When?" I asked her.
" So, you don't even know. Are you a student at all?" She frowned.
" What is going on, Ariana. You are not like this. You never miss classes and you always have the accurate time for everything. Can't you even wait a little longer till you finish this session? After this class, you have just one more class to graduation. This is not the right time to be skipping classes. There is no right time to skip classes." She said.
" I will change. I promise." I said and bowed my head in respect.
" I hope you are saying the truth. Go before they ring the bell." She said. I smiled and walked out of her office with a frown.
It seemed everything that had been happening to me was already disturbing me. I wanted to quickly become an adult and leave the youth phase so that all the troubles i had would stop quickly.
I hated the way things were going with me. I had to focus on school and my life. Things were running too fast.
Walking to a board, I checked the time table. Our exams were to start that Wednesday and I didn't know. I wasn't even prepared. Normally, I used to be prepared for exam weeks before they release the time table but it looked like it wasn't happening anymore.
" What are you doing here?" Mandy said behind me.
I rolled my eyes and didn't bother to reply. I had no time to waste.
" You can hear me." Her voice became louder. I turned around and glared at her.
" Last time I checked, I didn't see your name on the list of the founders of this school. I have the right to stand anywhere I want without being questioned by you. What else do they do in front of a board?" I stated and turned back to the time table. I took a picture of it and walked away.
" Now you are alone. It seems you have the super power to push people away from you. " She said loud enough for me to hear. I didn't stop walking because I didn't want to listen to her nonsense.
She was the one that noticed that, not me. I don't push people away from me. I hope I don't
I headed to my Economics class and sat down like a zombie. I didn't want to talk to anyone but I knew that was not possible.
" Why did Mrs. Henderson want to see you?" Tania asked me and sat beside me. The rest joined in our normal sitting formation. Aiden was at my right side and Tania at my left. It was only Chelsea's seat that was taken by Wesley. I stared at her seat and sighed.
" Nothing much. Just wanted to tell me exams are coming up." I said as she gasped.
" Oh my. I am so sorry. I forgot to tell you. I was planning to tell you since like last week. But we can read together." She said and raised her hand immediately.
" Aiden, don't talk. I and Ariana will practice together for this exam. A combination of both of you is brilliant enough!" She said which made me smile. I turned to Aiden as he rolled his eyes and brought out his phone.
" Thank you." Tania said and held my hand.
" I will come to your house. But when should we start?" She asked me.
