Ariana's pov
I blinked severally as I tried to just my eyes to the light. Everywhere was smelling different. A strong pang of headache hit my head hurting my eyes which made close it back. I could hear people talking in the room. I finally opened my eyes and frowned to the continuous beep that was freaking me out. Was that a radio or something?
I turned to my side to see a machine with a green zigzag line showing on it. It had some other things around it. I tried to move my hand but noticed something was on it. A drip was injected into my body. What rubbish.
" She is awake!" I could hear a lady shouted as I felt people around me.
" Ari? Can you see me?" A woman said In front of me. Her face was blur.
" Breath in and out." She said as I complied.
" Blink." She said calmly which I did. My vision was getting clearer.
" Can you see me?" Mum smiled as a tear dropped from her face on my cheek.
" Mum? What am I doing here?" I whispered as she smiled and hugged me.
" You are fine. You are fine." She said as she buried her head in my neck. She looked up at me and dragged me up slowly into a sitting position. I looked around to see dad, Chelsea, Tania, Kevin and Aiden all looking at me with hope.
I hated that sympathetic look on Tania's face.
I looked around as memories rushed into my head. I got involved in another crazy stunt again and ended up in the hospital. Just when Aiden walked into the store, I saw the red car Jake was in that day. I wasn't sure at first but I saw the plate number on it.
BJJ732QS
I would never have forgotten it. I knew he was up to something but I wasn't so sure of it until Aiden walked out of the store. He was trying to get something from his pocket when he started the car and was speeding towards him. I couldn't just scream Aiden's name in the car, something had to be done.
" What happened? How did it happen?" Dad asked patting my cheek softly.
" It was an accident. A drunk driver came running into Aiden's car and just when I wanted to avert the idiot, I ran into a building." I said gently.
" I don't think..." Kevin tried to say.
" That was what happened." I turned to him and back to dad.
" How did you know he was drunk?" Dad frowned.
" Because he wasn't driving properly. I had noticed him just before the accident."
" You might have to stay here for a few days. Thank God you had your seat belt on. The damage would have been worse than that bandage on your head and waist." Mum sighed and turned to Aiden.
" Thank you for bringing her here quickly. I was scared." Mum said hugging me again.
" Dad, I am craving your macaroni salad." I said on mum's shoulder as she pulled away from me with a frown.
" Then who would watch over you if he goes." She said.
" She would be fine. Don't worry about that." Aiden said calmly as he didn't take his eyes off me.
" I would call Greg." Dad smiled and kissed my forehead. He walked out with mum.
" It was Jake, wasn't it?" Chelsea whispered.
" A drunk driver." I said lying my head on the bed.
" You don't have to lie. We all know Jake. The only question right now is why he is after you." Tania's voice shaked.
