Ariana's pov

" I know you can do this. You worked hard for it and you will achieve that goal." I smiled and hugged Catherine.

It had been a long time already. Dance Universe started before I could heal completely so I couldn't participate in the competition. The rules were that the dancers that started the game had to finish it and even if I danced in group choreographies, I knew I couldn't last too long on that stage.

For the first time, I sat in the audience in a dance competition and watched my team dance including Aiden, Wesley, Chelsea and Tania. I and Jamal teased them a lot whenever they were done dancing. They made their way through Finals and Mrs. Henderson picked Catherine for that last dance. Everyone accepted, including Bryan and I was really surprised. He even asked if I was doing better and hoped to see me in the audience.

His attitude changed drastically which was weird but good at the same time.

" She is ready for this, I know." Mrs. Henderson said beside me.

" She looked really scared at the back stage." Kevin said at the the other seat.

" But she will do great , right? Shell wood will win." Mary said and clapped her hand when Catherine walked into the stage and striked her dance pose.

Well, Aiden's mum and my parents promised to be with us through out the whole competition. It had been weeks of the competition and I spent every single one of them with my family and his family and I was getting to enjoy Harry's childishness whenever he joked with Mary. Even though Aiden always had a frown on his face whenever I laughed at Harry's jokes.

The song started and Catherine started dancing. She danced gracefully and i just couldn't stop smiling through out her dance. It was the final dance that determined if we were to win Dance universe or not. I didn't care if we won or not, I was happy that things were going right with the group and with life itself.

We clapped really loud and Mary made sure to scream when Catherine bowed her head after her dance.

Just when it was time to announce the winner, mum and dad moved closer to me and held my hands. I closed my eyes and prayed for the best.

The fourth and third place were announced and it was time to announce the winner and second place.

" The winner goes to..." The host shouted. The hall was silent, suspense filling the air.

" Brigade school!" He shouted. The students of the school screamed at the top of their lungs, celebrating their victory.

" Second place goes to Shell wood. Give them a round of applause." The man shouted. The other school was celebrating on the stage with songs of victory playing as the awards were given to other schools. My school greeted other schools and took their own speech with smiles.

At least, they didn't look too disappointed.

" You did well. I know you did." Mrs. Walker said behind me. I smiled at her and followed Mrs. Henderson to the back stage where my group was.

They all were murmuring to themselves, some with frowns on their faces. I first walked over to hug Catherine.

" That was beautiful." I said which made her smile.

" And I saw that move we learnt together." I said as she laughed.

" Did I do it properly?" She asked

" It was perfect." I replied.

" No matter how perfect it was, we still failed." Bryan groaned as Aiden held my hand.
