Aiden's pov

I was speeding on the road which was bad but it was worth it. I got a message that Ariana had woken up after over two weeks.

Since the day Jake shot her, she had been unconscious in the hospital. I didn't know how bad the medical terms were but her mum assured me she was fine and I believed it. That was all I needed for my mind to be at peace.

And about Jake, he was also rushed to the hospital with handcuffs of course. He should be on a wheel chair by now.

I got to the garage and parked like a fool. I didn't care because all I needed was to see Ariana awake again.

" Aiden, can you just stop smiling? You are not a father yet." Mary giggled beside me.

She screamed when she heard the news too and jumped into my car.

" Shut up. " I smiled and walked out of the car.

We jogged into the building and went straight to Ariana's room. Mary ran in quickly but I stood at the door to watch her. Her whole family was there, including mum and Renee. Surprisingly, Harry was there too. He hugged Mary when she ran in. I wondered how they got there before me.

" Ariana!" Mary screamed and ran to hug her. She laughed and hugged her back tiredly.

" You have a lot of friends. The room is full." She said as everyone laughed. Kevin, Jamal, Chelsea, Wesley, Tania, Samantha, Greg and her parents were all in the room.

" And family." Tania said as everyone laughed.

" At least, you are fine now and I hope that crazy man will rot in jail." Samantha said.

" What else do you think will happen to him?" Jamal said.

" Well, I came here to thank you. You risked your life to save my daughter's life. Thank you so much." Renee said with a smile.

" Nobody has thanked me so far. I saved the both of you for a while." Wesley folded his arms gently. He was doing better.

" No, you didn't save us. They still took us and we stayed with them for about three days." Mary deadpanned.

" But he tried his best, didn't he?" Tania said.

" Nope. He couldn't resist a stab." She said really loud as mum rolled her eyes. Mr. Thompson had a small smile on his face. Since I got there, he had not mentioned a word. It was like he was watching everybody's attitude.

" Wesley, thank you for everything. " Ariana said gently with a smile.

" Thank you. At least, you are the only grateful one." He said like he was using it to scorn Mary. She just rolled her eyes and smiled.

" Oh, mum. You forgot. My dad says thank you too. Mum, you need to learn how to speak for dad." Mary said which made Renee roll her eyes.

" Don't tell your mum what to do." Jamal said which made Mary glare at him.

" Is she your mum?" She folded her hands.

" When will you two ever stop acting like children?" Kevin said.

" He is the big baby here." She pointed at him as Mr. Thompson chuckled. Greg turned to me and gave me a small smile.

He tapped Ariana and told her something. She nodded as he walked out of the room with her dad.

" Thank you, Mr. Walker. You helped me find my daughter." Mr. Thompson said when he met me at the door.

" Eerm, sir. About what you told my dad that day, are you still planning to do it?" I asked nervously. He smiled and signalled to Greg to go.
