Not in this lifetime and the next

I scrolled through my phone as i walked down the school's hallway to the canteen. Chelsea must have gotten bored waiting for me. I walked to our normal table and saw her reading a book. She wasn't even eating anything.

Note: She had her long legs on the table.

" Where exactly do you think you are? Your room?" I frowned slightly and sat opposite her.

" I would have left this place a long time ago. It is too loud." She complained.

" I am sorry."

" Sorry won't do anything. You took too long and for that, you would solve my mathematics assignment." She replied taking her legs off the table.

" Just say you are too lazy to do that. We agreed to solve it together."

" Why? This is not fair." She turned to me.

" Chelsea, don't act like a child. You know i can't let you steal my hours of writing, solving and racking my brain although we have 14, 39.5, 1,952 and 60."

" Stolen." Chelsea said writing the answers in her math note.

" You didn't even bother solving it."I said, which earned me a raised eyebrow from her. She has always been lazy whenever it came to mathematics till date and it was obvious she didn't want to learn. She had no passion for it so i couldn't force her.

" Here, take. Mum gave me sandwiches and i don't really like sandwiches." Chelsea passed them to me. I took one and had a bite.

" Did you taste this?"

" Nah"

" You don't need to. I would just eat all of it." Chelsea stared at me for a while and grabbed one sandwich from the table. After giving me a suspicious look, she ate it.

" It actually tastes good so i can have it all back." She said and tried to snatch the last one on the table but was too late because i had taken it and finished it.

" I could have taken that." She frowned at me.

" But you gave it to me so i grabbed the opportunity."

" Whatever." She replied and went back to the book she was reading.

" He called on Saturday." I blurted out.

" Who called?" She didn't take her eyes off the novel she was reading. I didn't bother to give a reply. I waited patiently for her slow brain to go through the proper process, booting. After a minute or two, she looked at her book then slowly looked up at me who was waiting for her reaction. Then her eyes lit up as she eyed me slowly.

" Who did you say called you again?"

" Who do you think it is?"

" So you are trying to tell me Aiden Walker called you?" She whispered.

I shrugged. " It wasn't much of a big deal."

" I knew that punk was up to something."

" What do you mean?" I was confused.

" No worries. So tell me what happened."

" Nothing, i did what you told me to do, ignore him."

" I didn't tell you to ignore him, i said keep avoiding him but how did you do it?"

I rolled my eyes and replied. " Told him it was a wrong number but he didn't buy it so i faked an emergency and hung up. I was pretty pissed at the moment so i didn't bother."

" Just like that?"

" Yup."

" Why do i feel you are lying?"
