Aiden's pov

I woke up on the hospital bed with Ariana's head on my chest. After that accident yesterday, Ariana slept till night. She woke up and finally decided to tell me everything. I was so angry when I heard what Jake did to her.

That evil creature.

I promised myself to find him and first beat him up then I could get him arrested for attempted murder, blackmail, fraud, robbery, drug dealer and human trafficking. Very sure he had many other crimes under his sleeves. I felt relieved to see Ariana sleeping peacefully on my chest, her breathing in sync with mine. She finally trusted me to the level of telling me everything. I knew it was hard for her to have said all of that last night. I kissed her forehead and rested back, patting her head with my right hand.

There was a knock on the door as Wesley was accompanied with Ariana's mum. She looked at me and glanced at Ariana with a smile on her face.

" She is sleeping like a baby. Like I knew it was only Aiden that could do that. Look at both of them." Her mum smiled as Wesley didn't want to make his glare obvious to her.

I returned her smile and whispered. " It took her a really long time. She would need a lot of rest." Her mum nodded in agreement and took Wesley's hand.

" You can see her later. She needs to sleep."

" Wesley can stay as far as he won't talk too loud." I whispered which made her let go of his hand.

" Okay, but don't forget to bring her home later today. I would have to get the recommended drugs for her." Her mum smiled, walking out of the room.

" What are you..."

" Shhhhh."

" Don't tell me to shhhhh. Your mum was dead worried about you. You just stormed out of the house and didn't come back for a day." He whispered angrily.

" Are you blind? What sort of a useless friend are you to Ariana?" I glared at him.

" How did she end up here? What happened?" He stared at the bandage on her head.

" Nobody told you? Not even Tania."

" No. Noone was picking up my calls and I didn't know where to look for you. Tania just sent me a message this morning that you should be here. " He folded his arms.

" Jake attacked me but Ariana stood in." I summarised as his eyes widened.

" What the? You? Has it gotten to that point." He exclaimed as Ariana moved slightly on my chest.

I scowled which made him cover his mouth with his hand.

" He was the one who attacked Mr. Bauer. He knew what was in that briefcase which could only mean one thing. He was working with someone in the company whose aim was to embezzle."

" How did you know?"

" The sleeping beauty told me everything. That guy is a murderer. A huge criminal and we have to be extra careful. Who knows what his next mission is." I said and stared at Ariana's face.

" But wait a minute. I am a bit confused. During that party, it was said that she broke her phone when Chelsea confessed that she gave it to Jake which could mean it had a tracking device right? But how did he find you yesterday?"

I thought about it for a while and came to a conclusion.

" He might have trailed her from home."

" This guy is something else."
