" Okay. And oh. A friend of yours sent a video to me. I have not had time to watch it properly but i think you and Chelsea were in the video. I think he was meant to send it to you." Mum said and took out her phone.
It felt like my heart stopped beating at that point in time.
He really sent her the video.
I quickly snatched the phone from mum's hand and forced a wide smile.
" Why did you do that?" She frowned.
" Umm, he was meant to send me the video. He called and told me he mistakenly sent it to you." I lied.
" Why would your friend have my number." Mum didn't buy it.
" Wesley. You know him right. I gave him your number in case he couldn't get to me. I told him I would either be with you or Chelsea."
" Ariana, return that phone." Mum commanded.
" No." I replied and hid the phone behind me.
" Ariana!" She said angrily and snatched the phone from me.
" Mum." I tried to stop her as she glared at me. I closed my eyes as she took her phone and played the video.
I felt like the ground should have swallowed me there.
I could hear noise from the phone and people shouting. It was a CCTV footage. Where was all the noise coming from?
" What is in this you have to hide?" Mum frowned and turned her phone to me. I collected the phone out of fear and played the video again.
It was a video from Ronnie's party. It showed me, Tania and Chelsea walking into the building.
" What is this?" I asked.
" Your friend who sent it said the photographers really liked your outfit and felt the shoe you wore was absolutely cool with it. Why did you want to hide that from me?" Mum smiled.
" Did he really send that?" I asked as I took a deep breath to cool myself.
" Ariana, what is the problem?"
" Problem? No, none. I had a surprise for you but Wesley just ruined it. I told him not to send it to you." I lied.
" It was really a surprise. Look at me thinking your fashion sense is horrible." Mum said with a smile and patted my shoulder.
" Good news. Your dad is coming this weekend."
" Dad? Yeah. Good news. I am expecting him." I stammered as mum raised an eyebrow and laughed.
" You must have really missed him. You better start rehearsing your dance moves. Your dad would want to see how much his daughter has improved." She said with a smile as I nodded hesitantly.
" I should probably start practising now." I said and turned to my room.
" I will be back at night." Mum said and walked out of the house.
I sighed heavily and sat on the stairs, tears flowing down my cheek.
I was that scared. I took out my phone as I was ranting angrily. I dialled his number.
" Are you having fun?" He said calmly.
" What was that stunt you just pulled?" I said angrily.
" What stunt? As far as I am concerned, you were the one who pulled a stunt with Mandy." He replied.
