"this must be what thrill feels like, darling
eventually i fall into you, you attack my heart."Just like that, everything returned to normal.
Well, not really. After avoiding her family by sleeping the entirety of Sunday, Minseo successfully made it to Monday. As for the entire Seongbin situation, she promised Donghyuck after he dropped her off that she wouldn't text him- it was the least she could do after filling his head with lies about her. Before she knew it, she was on top of his mattress, laid back onto the maroon covers with the golden furred dog resting on her chest.
"Shit." Hyuck mumbled, the clicking of his mouse intensifying as he held his breath. To say the least, tutoring wasn't necessarily tutoring any more, but more of a pass time to enjoy each other's company. Not a lot of words were exchanged all the time, most of the silence filled with curses leaving his mouth as he played his video games. But in their shared conversations, the space between them was pleasantly filled with laughter.
"Oh, come on. You're gonna get beat by me and Renjun's little brother's team?" she giggled as she peeked his screen. With a pout, he lowered his eyes at her over his shoulder, shaking his head before returning to the game. Shortly after, his fists slammed onto his desk, his headset following shortly after. "I look away for one second and Minjun kills me!" he yelled out in frustration throwing his face into his hands. Minseo laughed at his defeat, walking over to his seat, Neji following.
"Dang, that replay is brutal." she sucked in sharply, her playful grin making him roll his eyes as he watched his character get shot by a fifteen year old again. "Thanks, Mins!" a familiar voice could be heard through his headset, making her smile grow. "What can I say? Choi's just do it better." she shrugged, a cocky look grazing her face. Her eyes interlocked with his, the burnt orange ones glaring into her amethyst ones, courtesy of the anxiety pills she decided to start taking again.
"Choi's do it better?" he reiterated, raising an arrogant brow. His tongue pressed to the side of his cheek, his pupils not moving away from hers. Minseo kept the same intensity, yet she was beginning to get intimidated- though she didn't know if it were from his anger or the way it made him look. "Let's see you play a round," he got off the seat, patting the cushion of it for her to sit. Minseo's eyes widened, gulping down saliva in her throat.
"Let's not." she shook her head. Donghyuck stared down at her, messily placing the headset on top of her head. "What happened to all that confidence, Choi?" he followed up, tone low and teasing. Minseo groaned, replacing his spot on the chair and readjusting the headphones to fit her head. "Quit calling me Choi, Hyerin does it enough already. Plus, referring to each other by last name basis the Seorin and Jisung's thing." she joked, making a smile graze his lips. Right off the bat, she heard the chaos unraveling in the call he was in, a mixture of different familiar voices.
"The little brothers left to finish chores." Renjun clarified, entering their team into a game. Minseo brought the mic lower than it's usual setting to where it was closer to her own mouth. "Really? Minjun never does chores." Minseo mumbled, adjusting her fingers to the sensitive buttons of the keyboard. "Well, Renshu has to finish chores. Whenever Shu leaves, so does your brother." he chuckled, watching the screen open up to the game.
