As Minseo walked back to Seorin's house with her sleepover essentials, she was greeted by the little girl she had always seen in the living room.
"Who are you?" she tilted her head, craning her neck up to the unfamiliar face. Minseo let out a small chuckle, amused by the teeth missing beside her canines.
"My name is Minseo, what's yours?" she leaned down, holding her hand out to the smaller one.
"My name is Baek Aerin! I'm six years old and that means I'm turning seven. My favorite color is purple and I-"
"Aerin, can you shut your pie hole?" Seorin grumbled, walking towards the entrance where they stood. "Sorry about her, my aunt is picking her up." she sighed, setting her overnight bag on her shoulders.
"Oh yeah, where are your parents?" Minseo wondered, realizing she hadn't met them once.
"Every weekend the leaders go on trips together to take advantage of their free hotel room privileges around Korea." she chuckled, waving goodbye to the little girl entering the silver sedan.
"Jisung and I's parents are sort of best friends." she added, leading her up the semi spiraling staircase.
"Woah, really? My dad kind of hates Seongbin's." the taller girl mumbled awkwardly, entering a room with light blue walls.
Seorin's eyebrows pinched together at the thought. "Really? Why's that?" she asked, taking the belongings out of Minseo's hands to set down neatly.
Her memory jogged, remembering all of the ingenuine handshakes and forced smiles. "His family isn't necessarily the nicest- always saying the most unnecessary comments." she shuddered, recalling the amount of 'rich' jokes they made to her and her family.
"Let's not think about that or him tonight. Hyerin's coming upstairs, by the way." Seorin smiled, hearing the door click open followed with the sounds of a large bag.
"Jeez, you'd think after a million of these, carrying my luggage would be easier." she huffed, almost breaking a sweat. Minseo's eyes widened at the sight of the mint green baggage, then looking over at her own small backpack.
"What do you need to go to sleep?" her jaw dropped.
Hyerin smirked, leaning against it. "My pajamas, favorite pillow, skincare, haircare, humidifier, vitamins." she began. Seorin rolled her eyes, shaking her head at the never ending list.
"My homework that I won't do, silk sheets—which works wonders for your hair, by the way—, my laptop-"
"Yes, we get it." Seorin cut her off, used to her high maintenance. The brunette let out a giggle, jumping onto the memory foam mattress.
"So what do we do at a sleepover besides, well, sleeping?" Minseo questioned out loud, making their heads snap towards her.
"You've never been to a sleepover?" Hyerin's mouth fell agape, stunned by the discovery like it were a sin. Minseo awkwardly nodded in response, almost embarrassed.
