"And what's the last rule of the hike?" Aera sang, looking down at the two adolescents of the group. Aerin had her head held up high, knuckles to the torso of her pink puffy jacket.

"Always stick with your buddy!" her and Jaehyung cheered in unison, linking arms as they ran towards the direction of their fathers.

Jaemin smiled lightly at their youthful laughter, bringing the rather heavy device to his eye. Pointing the lens at the trail before them, the sound of it clicking made a groan erupt from Chenle.

"We just entered the actual forest and you've taken twenty photos." he grumbled, holding his phone up to gain some sort of reception.

Hyerin rolled her eyes, walking alongside her boyfriend with energy in her steps. "I think your photos are amazing." she hummed, walking up the incline with no issue.

On the other hand, another girl was already panting, lips turning into a tired frown.

"I think I'm gonna die- just go on without me." she dramatically spoke out, thighs burning as she reached out for the tall boy ahead of her. Jisung chuckled at her exaggeration, taking her hand in his. Seorin huffed as she looked at the ones ahead of her, including their personal military officer and D-1 athletes, making her one of the weaker links of the group.

"Don't worry, I don't think I've worked out since high school. All I do is sit behind a counter all day." a voice panted behind her, walking at the same pace as Mark. Despite the heavy breaths leaving her lungs, Miyeon smiled as the nature around her reflected beautiful shades of green, even if they were barely entering spring.

"If only there were some nature goddess to give me the strength to walk up this mountain." Renjun wailed, barely keeping up with Jeno who walked at the same pace as the adults.

Minseo let out a hearty laugh at his complaints, trailing right behind the two. Her eyes wandered to intake the scenery that surrounded them, entranced by the leaves that were bloomed in the crisp winter. Fruit were already forming out of the bushes like they disregarded the seasons completely, sprinkling a dash of color amongst the lively trail.

"Wow." Was all she could breathe out, wishing she could stay for a moment longer. She glanced over to her right, smiling subconsciously as she saw Donghyuck in the same awe as her.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" she nudged him slightly, making him snap back into reality. Scratching the back of his neck, he looked overhead to see the rays of sun seeping through the stretching branches.

"Breathtaking. Hwansang is known for that, you know?"

Minseo tilted her head in curiosity, shaking it with her lack of knowledge. It wasn't normal for middle class families to vacation in a forest of wonder every year, making her feel almost insecure of her status growing up.

"The plants here grow differently. They never die, they just bloom in various ways all year around- these flowers were blue last time I came here in the summer." he pointed at a bed of petals, an ocean of violet with frost formed at the tips.
